it's a beautiful country, nice food, good entertainment, beautiful architecture/scenery, good fashion etc

buuuuut socially, they're very conservative and that is an aspect that turns me off it a bit. it would be nice to visit for a holiday or for work, but i don't think i could live there forever. then again, i haven't been there yet so i could change my mind.

The fact that the suicide rate is pretty high there, welp, u judge it yourself.

Yeah.. well I don't plan to go to high school or college there. Maybe teach english when I grow older. I'm super interested in the culture and so far I like everything about what people say about korea except for the amount of stress students go to. It really sucks honestly.

Fascinating history, cool technology, I also like their values (I'm grew up in an Asian household so that's probably why) but they are way too hard on students (most Asian countries are) and a bit too vain sometimes I also don't like their justice system. Korea isn't just k-pop and k-dramas, there's a lot more to it.

Does attraction really have to play a big role in whether or not someone should go to korea or not?

Anyways I'm a super pale and vietnamese so I won't stand out too bad. I don't know what the standard is for guys in korea but I obviously don't care

Going from being a poor Third World country to being a rich and influential country in less than half a century is something that's deserving of praise. But, this transformation began under an authoritarian regime and, from time to time, the culture of contemporary Korea resembles, to me at least, a blend of some of the worst aspects of capitalism, Christianity and Confucianism with only a handful of their good aspects so, my opinion of (South) Korea is a very mixed one.
