Gen_ki 11,021
I wouldn't say so because rnb is grouped on a whole other category and hip hop differs in genre and culture. Oh, okay. Thank you. It was just something I was wondering about.
Ashnia 1,285
What do you guys think of SanE's new track? No matter how much he denies it, it's totally a diss towards Illionaire/Dok2/Zino. It's a total diss against illionaire's i did a tumblr post about you could find it in the illionaire's tag. @ 3:30 of the song San E says, "F**k you gonzo". He takes a jab at Zino's plagerism controversy which IMO is not something you do just bc considering how sensitive plagerism is. I think something probably happened while dok2 and San e were filming SMTM3.

I guess he also answered to Zino's line in that new Illionaire song about idols singing choruses in hip hop songs (which imo is a valid criticism). chompcombo 166
https://soundcloud.com/user8703331/apex-of-gl-do-the-right-rap anyone know if sky (i think thats his name?) is putting out solo work? Yeah San e said that it was his idea coincidentally or not so coincidentally San e has a song with Raina that has been topping melon for a month lol. I don't see the harm in idols singing hip hop choruses given if their a good vocalists. Like for ex Soyu and Hyorins voice go really well with hip hop songs. Also the k HipHop world lacks really good vocalists their aren't many. Hence why HipHop artists go to idols however I could see how some HipHop artists may think that some ppl use idols for their popularity.

Pish 413
lol Naah, I don't think San E's song was a diss lol. Just him trolling/mocking Illionaire. No ill feelings. Never been a fan of his either. Why else would you pay extra money for hiring idols, if you could get better vocalists for less. Soulman, Saetbyul, Boni, Lovey, Crybaby, Deez, Soul One, Kuan, Mayson the soul, Evo, VEN, Crucial Star, Brother Su, Bumkey, Zion T, Crush, Jung In etc. You don't need 1k+ singers in Khh. Some of them are more RnB but feature a lot on khh songs. Most of them are connected through people anyways. ---- I wouldn't mind a solo EP from Apex though. I'm liking what he put out so far.

Epik High pre-YG only used indie artists and never resorted to idols. Same with most k-hip hop artists. Idols in general are honestly not that talented, you can find more talented singers that are not as well known. SanE is simply featuring them bc he wants more sales and popularity. Nothing wrong with that but I also find it unnecessary. And tbh Mad Clown has regressed ever since he joined Starship. lol Naah, I don't think San E's song was a diss lol. justica 820
i find it funny how he's dissing illionaire with a song called Show you the money and the opening line is him talking about how much money he has.... like are you seriously going to use the money card with illionaire... they're all fucking millionaires, the logic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TCREs2_yWM anyways i've never liked san-e, he has always seemed to have such a big and douche ego

His last verses on that track: "ah that shit was fucking funny You know im just kidding vj Just messing withya U the king of flow Im king of nothing Was this one entertaining? holla" should have mentioned these lines in his new track too so that people know it's not a diss, like he said. evil me Edited July 22, 2014 by Pish

What kind of freestyle is it? Edited July 23, 2014 by jonghyuns
Pish 413
So then what's the difference between a cypher and a regular hip hop song? What kind of freestyle is it? When a bunch of people come together and exchange rhymes and lyrics back and forth. Cyphers nowadays are often pre-written, it can be freestyle like on top off your head tho. And it's more about the rap skills, like spitting hard over a beat and showing off your skills. There is not really a song structure like e.g. intro - verse - pre-chorus - hook - verse - hook - bridge - verse outro or whatever. it's just rap after rap, verse after verse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTeux8MKLd4
