The flow and rhythm do not have a language barrier but when it comes to the meaning behind the lyrics, the metaphors, the rhymes and the punch-lines, it is much harder than listening to Kpop or other genres of K-music where the melody and music play a greater role. I've only recently started listening to korean hip-hop after watching SMTM3 and SMTM4. It helped that Tablo has english rap in Epik High discography.
