sasha 2,956
Richter playing Rachmaninoff Concerto #2 do you like 'russian' heavy melody parts? always gives me a lot of anxious feelings tbh edit: and thank you for sharing:)
rinamy 1,442
do you like 'russian' heavy melody parts? always gives me a lot of anxious feelings tbh edit: and thank you for sharing:) I do I love a lot of the russian composers (Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky, Rimsky-Korsakov but for some reason Tchaikovsky not so much) --- the music is so passionate and moody and rich. I kind of wonder if that "heavy" taste is part of the reason I dislike most of Mozart's compositions (they feel too fluffy, I know they're playful and most are technically difficult). For piano I definitely lean more towards the Russian, French (Le Six and some impressionists like Ravel and Debussy), and German composers (Beethoven and Bach are probably my two most favourite to play).
