I'm also learning some new English words Whoever decided on the English title of the song (The Dawn) missed out on conveying a nuance of the Chinese title, which actually refers to predawn rather than dawn itself (lit. sky will brighten, where the combination of sky-brighten is how you say "dawn"). A bit cheesy, but you know, the darkest hour and all that. xD Words... I'm guessing "vicissitudes"? It's a neat word that, for me at least, strikes a balance between descriptive and concise, even if it is a bit of a rarity in common spoken English. I've used it a number of times in my translations because 沧桑 comes up a lot in Chinese lol. I've stopped putting in the note about seas and mulberry fields (i.e. what actual metaphor is) though.
