RV isn't getting many CF deals. (Not sure if this is due to SM or not enough demand for RV)  So they could start there. Also get one of RV members to be a regular on a variety or something or have their own variety show! That'd be a huge step

 

I think you're right though, Twice will probably surpass RV at this rate, not by a lot but steadily :| SM better step up their game even more this year

I think Red Velvet still have to have that moment where the public falls in love with them, and a public friendly song that will blow up. Ice Cream Cake did this to an extent, but that fizzled out. I also think they need a damn good variety moment to get attention too

I feel like a variety moment will come from Yeri. I mean that's why she was added. Her Unniee are way too reserved.

lol I don't know either. There have been a lot of threads lately about individual RV members and who will be the next "big thing".

 

Honestly I besides not getting enough varieties (I mean WGM and Music Bank MC is not bad), I think SM will have to push 1 member to stand out! They haven't quite focused on one member and I feel like you NEED a focus member in a rising group. I don't who it's going to be (it could be Joy, Yeri, Irene, Wendy or Seulgi. Literally any of them). But any of them could do it, SM just has to choose (and get lucky)

 

Wendy could pull a Hyorin and get recognized for an amazing vocal performance, Yeri could do really well on a variety, and any of them could start with some acting role (I don't know if any of them can act? At least one SHOULD. Or else... yeah). Or have one of them be a focus for a solo cf. Anyway, that'd lead to more public interest + cf's

 

Right now when you think of RV, there's no particular member of interest/stand out member. They're all well rounded.. almost too well rounded and not excelling in one area

If you mean all the members from both groups, than that's a no no for both.  But if you want to know if both groups have members who can sing, than that's a yes. The difference is that Wendy is the best singer of them all and of many GGs. All the other vocalists from RV and Twice are about the same according to the vocal specialists of this forum.

They tried with Joy but I don't think it's gonna happen.

 

I think either Irene Yeri or Seulgi.

 

Wendy is a nice singer but her vocal tone is really average sounding so that holds her back.

 

Irene is pretty and very womanly. She needs to be a bit more charismatic though.

 

That's why I think Yeri is the best choice but they need to make sure Yeri hair and make up is on point at all times so she looks good.

Well if it happens that's okay, I don't need RV to be the most successful. They are doing well and that's good enough, because they are continually churning out music I enjoy, all while serving up visuals and being endearing.

 

Twice is having a very successful debut and I am glad because in the beginning I didn't think they would be where they are now this fast. But it will take a comeback or two to see where they really stack up tbh. Coming out of the gate running doesn't always mean you're going to the top, but I do think Twice is going places. Twice is a lot of fun, they haven't yet captured me like RV has but if they come up with music that suit my taste better (I like Ohh Ahh but not really the rest of their album tbh) then they could definitely join my harem of favorite girl groups.
