This video of cricketer Chris Gayle flirting and asking interviewer Mel McLaughlin on a date

goes viral in Australia. 

Many people have said that Chris shouldn't have that what he had did and had been unprofessional 

making Mel McLaughlin uncomfortable as she was doing her job.

Many of Gayles fans though are hitting back saying that McLaughlin looked uncomfortable because of his race and was being racist. As well as statements saying that if this was reversed there wouldnt have been a problem.

 

He was than made to make an apology and was said to have been made to pay a $10k fine

He came in too strong from the first words he uttered, so of course she would feel uncomfortable. I really barfed at the "Don't blush baby" line, that was arrogant of him.

The 10k fine was too much tho

I feel like they should just avoid flirting or talking up to women tbh, its not a good move and only places a target on themselves since the media usually loves these stories. She's doing her job so he should have left her alone with all that extra talk and done the interview and left instead of shooting himself in the foot with what he said.

If you are a male athlete, don't flirt with female reporters on camera. That's sports PR 101 and he should have realized that. At the same time, a $10k fine is absurd.
