Even if the Lotto cheek teasing was indeed hella cute, the shoelaces' tying moment is what got me really screaming. It is so rare, than Chanyeol does something like this, so chivalrous and blatant, in public. Someone could argue that it's just fanservice, and maybe it even is to some extent, but you can never be sure with these two. What I really mean is that this side of him sometimes shows even during offcam/behind the scenes moments, and looks so...I don't know, genuine? Spontaneous? Just think about it. It reminded me of those classic moments, like when Chanyeol drove Baekhyun around on his scooter, or when he carries his bags for him, buys him gifts from wherever he travels, feeds him tasty stuff, and just takes care and pampers him so much. @BLACKCAT Dubai trip was special and precious on so many levels. It was awesome seeing the guys so relaxed and careless for once, after all the shit they went through recently. And in those fansign pictures, there's just something in Chanyeol's gaze towards Baekhyun that makes me melt.

I will definitely NOT let you flop because I am just as soft as you - I have been the whole day actually   I still cannot believe this happened! What Chanyeol did was such a small gesture but it's so loving that I cannot even put it into words. There is the fact that Chanyeol must have gotten worried that Baekhyun might trip and hurt himself (that alone is scream-worthy imo) but there is also the fact that he just took the matter into his own hands and tied Baekhyun's shoelaces for him as if it was something completely natural. ​If his motive was to ensure Baekhyun's safety he could have just told the latter to do it himself and everything would be fine but no - he just did it for him without any hesitation. And that is what makes me emotional - the fact that it seems so natural for Chanyeol to look after Baekhyun, it's almost like an instinct  I think in moments like this when Baekhyun's safety is concerned or when he just needs help with anything, Chanyeol lets his guard down and just follows that instinct without caring about his surroundings. I agree that Chanyeol doesn't seem too fond of publicly showing affection but it seems like he has his priorities depending on the situation - like today for example. I feel like this is Chanyeol's way of showing affection: not really through words but through his actions. As for Baekhyun, he certainly must like it, I agree. He comes from a loving household and has been used to being taken care of by his family all his life. Even now, Baekhyun fans in particular love spoiling & babying him. And I think he appreciates it a lot! He has a very caring side to him as well but that's a whole another topic so I won't go much into detail. But yes, today's moment defnitely made it into my list of absolute favourite CB moments! A small gesture that holds so much meaning in it ... beautiful

I know this thread has been quite inactive lately and it's been a while since I've posted here myself, but I actually have an experience regarding ChanBaek I wanted to share that I thought you guys might appreciate. Tbh, it's kind of been a while since this happened and it feels like a pretty random time to talk about it, but after going through everything that's been posted here for the past year, I came across a moment I actually remember having the chance to experience in person and I wanted to talk about it because it stuck out to me so much. I'll never forget how I felt while witnessing it and as a hardcore ChanBaekist, it will always be a meaningful experience.

 

Before I continue sharing though, I just want to say that this is going to be something that's completely subjective in nature and by no means is it supposed to prove anything. I'm only sharing because it's personally meaningful to me and I feel like it's the type of thing shippers would find interesting to read. Don't worry about taking it too seriously and just treat it like you would with any other anecdote.

 

So at the end of April last year I went to the EXO'rDIUM concert in LA with my boyfriend and another friend. Since we bought pit tickets, we had a really good view of the stage and got to experience everything super up close. It was close enough where I was actually able to feel the presence of each member and the energy they gave off while talking, interacting, performing, etc. That being said, as a highly sensitive person (someone with a sensitive nervous system and is aware of the subtleties in their surroundings), I tend to be good at picking up on the vibes, energy, mood, tension, or any other sensory information people give off and I can usually identify how people are feeling pretty accurately. I naturally process this type of stimuli on a deep level and in a way that often affects my own mood and well-being.

This was the specific moment I remembered experiencing that left a really strong impression on me. Honestly that day, I had no expectations of seeing CB interact at all and it was probably the last thing that was on my mind. But when that moment suddenly happened and Chanyeol reached for Baekhyun's hair, the atmosphere went from neutral to intimate so quickly I felt like I was gonna trip out. If you guys think CB's interactions feel real off a computer screen, let me tell you that it only feels 100 times realer in person. The energy they give off is honestly really amazing. They vibe off each other so well and you can literally feel the level of comfort, affection, and intimacy they share just by being around them and observing how they interact. Perhaps I'm more sensitive than the average person, but I sensed almost immediately right after they started interacting that there's something between them because the type of flow and connection they have is so effortless that you know they understand each other on a deep, intimate level. It's a rare type of chemistry I haven't even observed in any of my friends or other couples so experiencing their dynamic was actually really refreshing. They're the type of people you feel good being around and you can really tell how much they like each other by how much they laugh together and just their positive energy in general. They seriously are relationship goals at its finest. 

 

That being said, seeing CB interact in person is something I hope every CB shipper gets the chance to experience at least once because not only is it a lovely dynamic to witness, you also get more of an accurate perspective on how things are. After witnessing their interactions, I've never really questioned again whether I was being delusional about their relationship because I truly believe their chemistry isn't something that can be faked and I trust that my own senses wouldn't lie to me. From this experience, I came to ship CB even harder and I found even more to love about their relationship. It definitely confirmed to me that I'm shipping the best OTP.

Thank you for this beautiful insight of someone who was actually there. (Is it too much to ask what your boyfriend or friend thought about the moment? Like did you ask them what they thought about the interaction, did they pick up the same feeling? It would be interesting to know what someone who probably (?) doesn't ship them thought of it. )

 

 

Also I can only speak for myself but the main reason I don't post here as often as I used to is bc for me CB and I reached a point in shipping that has only two outcomes: they are either best friends or boyfriends. There is no fanservice or fake friendship, it's either one or the other. For me everything has been analyzed to a tee, everything we get now is everything that we already know. We know how they act around each other, how they react to each other, how they will react to certain things. I'm not saying nothing surprises me anymore bc that "I love you" game during the nature republic event was pretty intense and something I would have never thought they would actually do in public (my theory about it is that they reached a point in their relationship where especially Baekhyun is fed up with the fact that they keep it low on stage and in front of cameras, I feel like he is frustrated at this point and went all out that day bc he could blame his behavior on the game) but for the majority of the time I see a new moment I'm like "we been knew" bc yes, we know almost everything about their relationship and their behavior at this point in time (at least everything they allow us to see), the only question we don't have an answer to is "are they best friends or are they boyfriends". At least that's how I feel about CB in 2018 and that's the reason why I don't analyze their interactions anymore like I used to bc it would be something that was already said in this thread more than once. Now I'm just enjoying their little and big moments in awe and smile at the thought of them having found someone that makes them THIS happy bc it's rare finding this kind of connection with another human.

 

That's not me telling you to stop analyzing in here btw, please do so!  I just wanted to share my feeling towards CB and their relationship and the reason why I don't post in here bc I feel guilty not posting in here for so long , maybe somebody feels the same way, know that you are not alone feeling like this!

Thank you for sharing this moment and you know, I completely agree with you! I was there in LA too and there was almost like this shift in the atmosphere, as dramatic as it sounds. Everytime they directly interact, it’s this crazy sense of intimacy about them. They tend to kind of focus too much on each other and I think that’s why they don’t interact as much on stage anymore. That deep sense of intimacy is also why I continue to ship them. I think it’s special and unlike most. I’ll go down with this ship! LOL

 

Another thing I want to add is that I also experienced something similar. I went to SK for Elyxion and I was there on the day they celebrated PCY’s birthday. On camera/fan cams it’s one thing but experiencing Baek’s actions in person felt completely different? Most people probably saw that OSH got the cake for Chanyeol from the staff, but what some wouldn’t know is how Baek was clearly excited and jittery before OSH went to retrieve the cake during Chanyeol’s ment. He was SO happy and anxious and bouncing with energy and it just can’t be measured on camera, if anyone even caught it in good quality. In person it was so lovable and so cute. It dispels that notion some antis have that they’re not close. I think that’s important because there are so many moments like this that we probably don’t know about. It’s when we catch them or able to experience them that this ship really feels special to me tbh.

Yeah, I kind of feel the same way! I very much am still soooo into this ship and completely flail over their moments but like you, haven’t posted in here in a long time. It’s not that I don’t think that we shouldn’t analyze (don’t wanna discourage that) but that I’m extremely happy with just enjoying their moments (and always hoping for more! LOL). The fanmeet was just Shsjsjsjsjsjsjs. I still can’t shut up about it. Same for Taipei. I love them so much.

Yes! That's exactly how I feel about them, they are more in love than ever and are getting more courageous actually voicing it like Baekhyun saying his favorite part of the members body are Chanyeol's ears? Like since when does he have the balls to actually say it's Chanyeol? Or the Nature Republic game, it's beautiful to see how Baekhyun is confident enough to do all this, it only shows me that Chanyeol and his surroundings make him comfortable about it and that's even more beautiful.

I was especially curious about the personal experience @ruru-chan reported... it's true that the internet is quite deceiving and sometimes the most meaningless moment looks like something really big or vice versa, and this is why international fans sometimes are quite looked down upon, because sometimes people freaks out about really small things or the other way round. I'd love to be able to see them with my own two eyes at least once to witness the amazing chemistry you described... sigh. When will I? 

 

 

I already explained why I perceive myself as a supporter for this couple... I have personal reasons and I'm sure that their bond is special and very strong in spite of all the nasty stuff people enjoys spreading around. I felt terrible for Baekhyun, who had it pretty hard in these two months of 2018, but this man can't stop surprising me with his strength and humbleness, lately. He's a role model for me, I swear. A true inspiration.

I was especially curious about the personal experience @ruru-chan reported... it's true that the internet is quite deceiving and sometimes the most meaningless moment looks like something really big or vice versa, and this is why international fans sometimes are quite looked down upon, because sometimes people freaks out about really small things or the other way round. I'd love to be able to see them with my own two eyes at least once to witness the amazing chemistry you described... sigh. When will I?

Damn... well I asked my boyfriend yesterday how he felt about their interactions but he said he doesn't remember anything because he wasn't really paying attention to them (he was just mesmerized by Kai the whole time lmao) so sorry if that isn't helpful .__. But even if he did remember, his opinion wouldn't have exactly been unbiased either because while he didn't believe there was anything between them at first, he eventually became convinced through all the content I showed him and how much I talk about them in general (my impact, I know!) haha. So yeah, I know an objective opinion would have been more helpful but unfortunately that's not something I can provide for you. I'm really sorry! 

 

But anyways, I totally agree with what you said about no longer needing to analyze because we pretty much already know what's going on and that we're really only left with two possibilities regarding their relationship (either best friends or boyfriends). Personally though, I must say I'm more convinced of the latter because after doing a thorough analysis of all their moments from debut until now, thinking about things logically and making my own observations in person, it's just the honest conclusion I came up with and I'm going to honor that. People might call me delusional but I'm not worried about that because I know exactly why I think the way I do and I believe I have good reasons for it. For me, that's all that really matters.

Thanks so much @ruru-chan and @baekkiehyun for sharing your experiences with us!  I have often wondered about what witnessing a moment between Chanyeol and Baekhyun in real life must feel like, if their interactions give off the same intimate vibe as they do on our phone and computer screens or if I am actually deluding myself because I am only witnessing things "second hand" by watching videos someone else took and reading fanaccount that someone else wrote where they describe something from their own perspective. I was wondering what it must feel like to experience all these things we talk about here directly, "first hand." I am not sure if I myself will ever get the chance to but reading what you guys said made me giddy and smiley because, even though I was not there myself, the fact that witnessing their behaviour around each other in person left such a strong impression on you guys, especially you @ruru-chan, the fact that you can speak about them with such conviction after that, shows me that you are confident in what you saw. And it makes me so happy to read that this intimate vibe that Chanyeol and Baekhyun radiate whenever they interact can actually be felt in real life as well! It shows that it's very much real and not just the product of our imaginations.

Then, I would also like to add some of my thoughts to what @mademoiselle said. Reading your post actually felt like reading my own thoughts and I completely agree with what you said. While in the beginning, it felt like the thread was aimed at analysing their dynamics, their behaviour around each other etc., it now feels like we have "figured them out" if that makes sense. Therefore, I feel like the purpose of the thread has changed as well. We are appreciating more than we are analysing now - which I don't see as something negative at all btw, quite the opposite! I think it's a good thing that we have reached a stage where we can just look at our ship and admire what has become of it after all these years: a stable, incredibly close bond between two young men. I mean, it has been what, six years since their debut and their relationship - whatever it is - has developed so much since then and you can just tell they both have reached a point where they know what the other thinks just by looking at each other. Chanyeol and Baekhyun have grown, they have matured. And so has their relationship it seems. If I had to use one word to describe their relationship, I would probably choose "stable". Even if they both have made new friends over the years as well, they are still very close & make each other incredibly happy when they are together - I even dare to say they are the happiest around each other   

As for the nature of their relationship, I cannot say I am sure. For me too, it's either a wonderful friendship or a romantic relationship - either way it's love though. My mindset right now is to be prepared for anything, to expect everything in the future. If ever it should be official that they are together (though I doubt this will ever happen) - I will wholeheartedly support them. However, if any of them should date other people, I will be happy for them. My only wish for them would be that they will always stay as close as they are now - as boyfriends or as friends <3

 

 

About that predictions account: I initially was skeptic about their predictions and couldn't understand why people took them so seriously (especially considering that the person running this account said that they weren't insiders or anything) but from what I have heard, some of the things they said did become true so ... my guess would be a subunit or a duet! Would be awesome if that became true!

I agree with what everyone is saying about the posts, sometimes I'm like "why don't they analyze anymore!" but then I remember you already did x)

 

I think I have an unpopular opinion but I wonder if anyone else feels the same way so here it is.

 

 

 

I've shipped CB since 2015, and I've never, ever felt they're more than friends. Ever.

 

When I look at the things they do for each other, they seem really intense to be just friends. The way they're always talking about each other, the way they hang out even though they work together, etc, etc... When you write it, it sounds, in theory, like they're in a relationship, but when I watch them interact without edits and without analysis, I only feel like they're platonic soulmates, extremely close brothers, super bffs. Honestly, none of them give me gay vibes either

And trust me, I try to see it, but it's never there for me.

 

Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I crazy? xD

 

This is how I personally feel, I'm not saying I'm right, at all (I want to be wrong! ), but I can't help it. I'm not attacking anyone's opinion, I love reading all of your posts and it makes me happy to see some people do feel there's something more. Damn... well I asked my boyfriend yesterday how he felt about their interactions but he said he doesn't remember anything because he wasn't really paying attention to them (he was just mesmerized by Kai the whole time lmao) so sorry if that isn't helpful .__. But even if he did remember, his opinion wouldn't have exactly been unbiased either because while he didn't believe there was anything between them at first, he eventually became convinced through all the content I showed him and how much I talk about them in general (my impact, I know!) haha. So yeah, I know an objective opinion would have been more helpful but unfortunately that's not something I can provide for you. I'm really sorry!

 

But anyways, I totally agree with what you said about no longer needing to analyze because we pretty much already know what's going on and that we're really only left with two possibilities regarding their relationship (either best friends or boyfriends). Personally though, I must say I'm more convinced of the latter because after doing a thorough analysis of all their moments from debut until now, thinking about things logically and making my own observations in person, it's just the honest conclusion I came up with and I'm going to honor that. People might call me delusional but I'm not worried about that because I know exactly why I think the way I do and I believe I have good reasons for it. For me, that's all that really matters.

 

Btw, idk if everyone here uses Twitter, but have you guys been seeing these big accounts make predictions about CB? What do you guys think about these?

I’m honestly wheezing at the thought of a Chanbaek station song! I would LOVE (aka bury me cause I would be dead dead) a Chanbaek subunit, but that’s not happening. Only in my wildest dreams! And announcing a relationship would most likely kill their careers tbh. I agree it’s not likely and if CB is real, I’d rather they protect themselves.

Honestly speaking, none of us can be sure of the true nature of their relationship. We can believe all we want but at the end of the day we only see a glimpse of their lives and interactions. I don’t mean this as a criticism at all, but I do find it hard to understand those who ship it but don’t believe there’s romantic feelings between them.

 

My personal opinion? I believe they have romantic feelings towards one another. Whether they’ve acted on them? Idk. I want to say yes, but that may be my own wishful thinking. Either way I do believe they love each other immensely, whether it’s just friendship or a romantic relationship.

Idk what to think about this, lack of receipts usually makes me super suspicious but I was like that also last summer when tweets about bowling dates kept appearing here and there, and then pictures showed up even if much later...   Doesn't matter much, in my opinion! It's still sweet that they went togeter! And as @baekkiehyun said, I'm so proud of our Suho for doing a good job in his musical even when life kept throwing him lemons meanwhile.

 

On a personal note, I've been super busy this weekend but finally I got my Dysgraphia and Dyspraxia's trainer diploma!   I will now start job-hunting all over again... wish me luck!

Hi, I was the OP for Chanbaek badge. We finished voting and I got the badge approved by the awards team. It was the last thing I did here on OneHallyu because of personal circumstances and I simply don't have the time right now to update this thread all the time or even browse this forum. I started the voting and I wanted to finish it so I stayed until we finished voting. However, I did not see that I hadn't submitted it by PM to a mod on time and that's why it won't be accepted for this badge season. I know I screwed up and I'm truly sorry about it.
