why unnecessary? it is akb 10th anniv plus takamin'as last kohaku apperance; this group is already a legend in the industry whether by gimmicks, sales or name. the fun factor is that it is a surprise, when acchan and yuko appeared, you can hear the whole crowd cheering, and it is a good way to end a year like seeing your good friends performing in the stage once again. Heck when Momosu's 10th anniv they bough almost the whole generation
