They held a survey, asking fans “What song do you want to hear?†and “Which two Johnnys do you want to see together?â€. Arashi hosted the show. V6, who stayed for Kohaku appeared via VTR. Hey! Say! JUMP, who held their own Countdown Live at Kyocera Dome in Osaka, performed for JCD via livestream. The broadcast started with the groups singing a song as voted by fans, followed by a collaboration medley, group song shuffle medley, KAT-TUN 10th anniversary medley, Kinki Kids 20th anniversary medley, and the Top 5 Dream Duet with a surprise appearance. choa501 200 Posted January 1, 2016 Share Posted January 1, 2016 Whoever came up with the concept/ideas for this year's countdown deserves a raise. It's the best one I've seen in a long time. There were so many nostalgic songs and combis and surprising appearances like Yara's and Uchi's. Also, I still can't get over the Pikame reunion and and KAT-TUN singing Bokura no Machi and She Her Her. Arashi were awesome as hosts too. Now they need to revive Johnny's Sport Day too. I'm really happy that J&A let Arashi, Kanjani8 and TOKIO back at the Countdown tbh. It's nice seeing them with the rest of Johnny's group again. The medleys are nice. I almost cried when Yokoo sang Chinen's line in Ultra Music Power lmao that was hilarious Arashi-NEWS change medley. My two favorite groups~ 2-Shot performances were all soo good! Kawai must have been delighted to perform with Jun^^ And Shuji to Akira, Subaru and Takki it's so nice to see them on a stage together!!! Ohno sang really well. I almost thought that he can't sing that good anymore after all the lipsynced perf they did in the past years. I'm glad his voice is still beautiful as ever. Anybody knows the backstory of Kitayama/Tacchon? Fuma/Sho was kinda random too but it might be because they look like twins (both has luscious lips, keio grads) I was a but sad watching Tsubasa.
