since a lot of kpop guys have a feminine look (and that shading on her neck in the first picture does suggest something like an adams apple), I would have guessed boy.

 

I really like Amber and I don't see what's so wrong with her look.  she's one of the few kpop girl group members who actually seems to enjoy their concept.
