Is this the reason MBC was able to pull off a much better gayo daejun than the other two stations?

because the venue was significantly smaller?

i mean of course MBC's gayo also had the best in terms of performances and fair sage time. but part of the reason why the camera work and sound system and lighting was of so much higher quality was because the venue was more compact. they didn't bite off more then they could chew with a collasal venue with too many stages, but they worked perfectly with a reasonable set. seems like this is the recipe for success. take note KBS and SBS.

I thought KBS was the best gayo by far.

SBS had a lot of issues, but at least it felt like an end of year celebration

MBC felt like a special episode of music core. I wasn't a fan of the pre-recorded stages at all.

MBC reminds me of what KBS did last year, but KBS did it far, far better.

there were a lot of reasons...

they just did it best overall in theme, performances, mix of good songs, mix of old songs..

the only thing working for kbs is that the concert venue and some of the stage design were better... but other than that...

I think it's because they familiar with the stage and it's smaller. It's better (camera work, audio, lighting) but it feels like another music core with special stages.

For me I still like KBS more than MBC. If they hold their gayo next year in Dome again, I hope they could fix the camera work like people want (eventho it's not really an issue with me), their (KBS) audio was much better this year than in 2014, funny when it was smaller and they were pretty familiar with the place but they were worse than in the Dome lol...

I like mbc for having a neat broadcast.

i like sbs because the ideas seems fresh and exciting.

kbs is like immortal songs, it's neat but not my favorite.

MBC was significantly better. Honestly, it wasn't close to the other two in terms of quality.

MBC's Gayo felt like an actual Gayo. You know, a festival? A lot more energy, a lot more involvement with the crowd, the unified light sticks, the tight production values, the audio quality and the smaller stage.

Plus, the performers got way more time. You had pre-recordings that were high quality, the collabs were actually collabs. You didn't have a shitty spider cam and the MCs were even better.

KBS felt like a promotion for what KBS could do with performers on the side. The crowd was quiet and bad all night, the performances weren't as good, the sound quality waved and the camerawork was bad. Don't get me started with how bad SBS's was

I think i like KBS gayo stages more, it looks pretty, mistakes/less preparations could happen, and i'm sure they'll somehow will take a note from it, i'm just wow at them for delivering an actual good grand stage, it's just unfortunate that they have a bit trouble with spider cam and the microphones. Meanwhile MBC, it's good, best almost in every aspect, but i just like watching MuCore all over again. Not a fan of SBS at all.

a tight competition betwren kbs & mbc for me. Kbs' was grand in its stage scale in itself, it honestly felt like a concert and ive had a feeling of amazement the whole time i was watching it. While mbc's was very cleanly executed and the special stages were better since some are prerecorded. I'd say kbs wins tho.

that's exactly how i felt. there's no point in getting a big venue for this kind of show. this is not a solo concert, public is dead most of the time. this impression is stronger in a big ass venue.

on MBC artists were closer to the public and to the other artists.

Meh, I found the MBC main/live stage to be quite boring in terms of set up.  And like others have said, it didn't feel like a large end of year performance festival, but just a special episode of Music Core.  It was too small, imo. If I wanted an intimate setting to watch my favs, then I would just watch an episode of MuCore, MuBank, Inkigayo, etc.  KBS would have definitely been the best had it not been for the subpar camerawork (but still better than SBS).  It had the grandeur of what I imagine the Gayo Daejuns to be and some of the best performances/remixes/collabs as well.

considering what MBC did with the deasung award...bottom of the barrel, scum of the earth, etc etc.  also, too many times there was more two winners (why bother?).  the lighting may have been better, but if the content lacks (and let's be honest, WGM should not have that many wins) what's the point?
