I don't know where Sehun's part is in Don't Go   But aside from that I ADORE Peter Pan. Such a nice song plus Sehun and Kai both got a pretty good amount of lines because the rap bridge was pretty long. That made me really happy but too bad they never perform those songs. I really want to see the dance line have more parts in songs. I hope they're improving behind the scenes so they can eventually be good enough for SM to want them to have many lines in title tracks. 

 

Well personally I think SM knows people are starting to find Kpop boring so they are trying to spice things up a bit, although some of them aren't exactly well received. I'm pretty sure the main reason they got the title tracks like WSS and Wolf is because IGAB did so well so SM thought disjointed and random songs were well received by most kpop fans when that's not true The reason I think Wolf was done partially on purpose though is because at debut SM almost ALWAYS give them really good songs to get public attention and a fanbase. But with EXO they went straight into non public friendly songs. I think it's more for attention, even if it's bad. Idk maybe overthinking lol. 

 

Chanyeol has such a soothing voice I hope he gets a solo track sometime. I've wanted him to be a subunit with Taeyeon like Trouble Maker I'm sure it would greatly increase his awareness in Korea. IDK why SM can't do anything out of the box. I think a TTS + EXO project like DJ Got Us Fallin in Love would be a great idea, but of course fanwars.

 

and Yessss Kai's voice is so adorable. When I first heard him singing in Don't Go I legit almost cried because I'm so used to him and Sehun getting like almost no parts in their songs SM has been MUCH better with line distribution on this album as compared to their first where the only times you could really hear Kai and Sehun was on Two Moons and History

 

was really helpful to me because there are some voices I'm not all that familiar with in EXO still just because I'm not completely used to them, but this comeback definitely made it easier to get used to some (although there's a few times where I get confused still, I'm ngl). 

 

Also I really love Peter Pan! I think it's my 4th overall favorite from the album. (Black Pearl, Heart Attack, and Don't Go being the ones just before it). It's a really magical sounding song and that's literally how I describe it every time I hear it because I can't think of a more appropriate way!! 

 

I think they may be improving behind the scenes (all of them) and we might get surprised in the future what they show us, especially those who don't have many parts as of right now. 

 

I would love a solo track. And this is the moment that I also just want to throw in again just how much I love Chansoo singing together, yes.

I'm such a huge fan of this idea, but you're definitely right about the fanwars. Which is such a shame. I don't understand why people can't appreciate different talents from other groups within the company coming together to create something great. If anything that should be something to be excited about, but of course there's always going to be those out there who completely ruin the idea.   

 

Speaking of spreading awareness ~ the thought just occurred to me and I began wondering what members in EXO become pretty active with things in general (whether it be from other songs, CFs, shows, appearances, etc), and I honestly believe Chanyeol will highly likely be someone from the group this will happen to. Unlike some others within the group who I would think might do things here and there but definitely not as often. I guess that's already apparent though with how active he's been this comeback, but even just thinking overall for the future.

As a Sone I often surf through the SNSD and it's hard to read through the ignorance. I can't believe Sones out of all fandoms are sitting there like "Ugh I'm tired of EXO using SNSD's money" "I'm tired of SM using SNSD to get EXO some publicity" etc. LIKE THEY DO THAT TO ALL GROUPS 

 

SM used their male groups to promote SNSD by having YoonA feature in their music videos and having SNSD do CFs with them, but now that SNSD is popular if anyone does that with them they get sick of it and bash that person 

 

 

Also I find it sad that any member has less than one minute of lines on their whole full album... While it's an improvement from MAMA mini, it's still horrible...

 

 

I also like ChanSoo together but I think its too early for them to have a solo song imo. It won't really do much sales wise so I don't think SM would do it yet. Another thing that bugs me is that if you look at companies like Cube, they do so many features with other people in the company it's ridiculous and meanwhile SM ALMOST NEVER DOES IT. It's so annoying. The only thing they did that for Henry's debut.

 

I really think a Chanyeol + Taeyeon subunit would be a good idea for both of them. With a song like Officially Missing You Chanyeol could be put on people's radar as an actual talented idol rapper. Right now he won't be while rapping lyrics like "I'll eat you like cheese" on public broadcast. SM is a huge company and there is so much they could do but they never do anything extraordinary or out of the box and it's tiring and annoying. 

 

Fanwars ruin everything and that's a fact  -_-

 

I feel like Kai, Chanyeol, and Sehun will be the "faces" we see often in Cf's, dramas, etc. All 3 have a different appeal to them and they seem to be pushed by SM as the visuals in EXO-K.

 

From what I notice (or at least maybe I only pay attention to them... lol) Kai and Chanyeol usually get the focus in their CFs.

I do agree with everything you say though and YES I know it's too early for Chansoo but just to hear them more would make me happy. Like on the radio show and a leaked audio from the birthday party. But I'm gonna keep dreaming on it. :p

 

I would love to see SM really do more features. I don't know why they don't, really, but then you look at the way some fans freak out (not in a good way) when people are featured together and you wonder if that's why they just avoid it.

Fans need to get over it honestly. I don't like Super Junior but I wasn't bitching and moaning when Siwon was in Hoot. It's not like he made it a bad music video or anything. Honestly it's so annoying when people do that. People only blame exotics, but the way EXO fans behaved and the way f(x) fans behaved were both out of control and unnecessary. Everyone is calling EXO fans crazy and stupid, but it's perfectly fine for f(x) fans to bash Kai saying they don't want him, why him of all members, etc. Lawd the people on this forum don't even realize they're no better than what they criticize.

I think in general it's just the new generation of KPop fans. Many of them are young, immature, and because they are constantly around one another and the craziness it kind of just.. rubs off on one another and encourages it all for the worst. If that makes sense. So they all get in this disgusting group mindset and unfortunately that spreads pretty easily and it kind overshadows anything that's even near remotely sane. I agree that there's a lot of double sides though and it's not just one particular fandom. Also people forget that there's a lot of these EXO fans who were really into other SM groups before EXO came around as well. 

 

Oh man if Chanyeol was ever featured on anything I'd just !!! He'd sound really great. I'd love to hear him have a featured rap part. Maybe he will someday.  Especially since he's been doing a lot more lately anyway and it seems like (from what I can see) there have been a lot of positive responses. I mean so far when he's done a little cover here and there I haven't heard too man bad things said from people.

You know that moment when you discover a new group, and you're kinda scouting out which members you like and you research, take time and really think about which one is your favourite. Well, for me, with Exo, this was not the case. I knew immediately it was Chanyeol! XD

 

AHH I'm glad you made it over here!! Please do post here often! When did you get into EXO/Chanyeol? I have to admit it wasn't until the showcase that it really hit me that he was the bias for me. During teaser era I never thought I'd care about him like this.

Only very recently, since the release of XOXO have I really delved into EXO. and I'm soooooooo glad I did. Maybe its because of my timing that Chanyeol appears to me this way. Chanyeol shines in this era perhaps? 

 

If you ask me, he's always shined.  But he's definitely been doing a lot during XOXO's promotion between appearances and stuff, and has more lines (naturally) on the album. So I think that makes it easier for people to pay attention to him. WHICH MAKES ME REALLY HAPPY.

Question: Was it only in the Wolf promotions when he calls himself like 'the voice', where he is like the figurehead on all the promotions? I certainly agree, when I was watching Hello Counselor he really stood out for his voice and the way he took part. 

 

He only recently started calling himself EXO's voice (and reaction), so yes! It's something that has started with "Wolf" promotions although he has talked about his voice even prior to that (and brought it up in one of the early videos of EXO where he mentioned how opposite his voice is to how he looks/acts). 

 

I also agree he stands out because of it! And for so many reasons. When I think of his voice, it's not only how deep it sounds but also the passion behind his rapping, the singing, and the tone in which he speaks when talking.

ah Chaniwoo bear. I love me some of him. I dont get why some people find him annoying, he's really sweet. I used to have a source that would update me about exo behind the scenes (she communicated with exo saesangs), Chanyeol is so forgiving and really cares about exo. He's also super easy to make happy because my source sent him a box full of american candy and he got so happy and hyper . 

On another note, why is he wearing glasses so often now . does he not know how flippin' cute he looks with glasses? Seriously he just chops up my ovaries and stir fries them every time with those adorable glasses.

and yes I know!! I'm so lucky. Especially as close as I did. For the record, I recommend departure more than arrival when it comes to seeing EXO because things were way more calm the second time around. Not as many people wait to see them leave (or at least no where near as many that want to see them arrive). Or maybe it was also the timing. Either way, I'm so glad I saw him off~. Although I was so zoned in that I can't remember anything else.

 

I'm sure if the opportunity comes up, they might return! Would you ever fly anywhere else to see Chanyeol/EXO if they were performing in a surrounding country?
