Oh so thats how it works on militaru but...why not for only son? I mean he is still a guy and i thought for service, every guy has to undergo it.lol i guess im mistaken.

 

Well i havent watched ep 1-9 yet.lol only started at ep 10 cause there were more scenes of him there. Dont expect too much ok. I could have explained it that way just based on my opinion. I think a love story is not needed on the drama actually but i guess their past being connected needs the two to fall in love cause they need to team up for the bad guy.

 

I actually miss him playing a bad guy, but i also want to see him in another role as a bad guy.

Only son can be excused from enlisting military because they need to carry on the bloodline, which we know is important in Korea. I'm not 100% certain whether a brother with sister(s) can enlist, but I'm quite sure only son cannot enlist. And also those who have medical issues can be excused too. That's why I heard of past celebs trying to use their medical history to get out of military, but were found out. Some caused quite a scandal.

 

I just need to see more of PBG other than 'Moonlight'. I'm gonna continue with 'Hello Monster' because he was quite good in his character. I really admire those who can play a good as well as a bad role in dramas; they are the real gems in the industry. And appaz Bo Gummy did a homo role; makes him that much more versatile. So I'm a bit skeptical towards his taking a high school role if he is offered one... playing a flower boy doesn't exactly do much, with the exception of establishing the actor's good looks...

Haha i was shocked too he played it but its what makes him more charming. Im gonna give time to watch his other dramas.

 

He doesnt need to have a role of flowery boy in a highschool drama though, he can play that villain we wanna see.

Lol I just Wiki'd it: he is the youngest of three siblings so if I can't have PBG, I'll try his brother(s) if he has any   their mum passed away when he was little, poor guy.  He grew up so well despite her death, which makes me in danger of falling harder for him.  

 

uhhh I really want to see him play a really ambivalent role in which his character is both sympathetic and evil at the same time.  That'd be spectacle to see...Have you seen 'Reply 1988'?  The more people praise him in it, the more I want to see it lel

Whaha thats what i did too!! Somehow his family info is very private. I read somewhere he has a sister which is ten years gap to him but dunno if its true onlg PGB can confirm. Even though i hated his dad for making bogum pay his debts before, im still thankful to him he made bogum what he is now. The words from his dad that inspired bogum until he grew up is really good.

 

I havent watched reply yet!! But seeing the praises he got there makes me wanna watch it too. Its on my to watch list.

 

Sympathetic yet evil? Isnt that lee min? Haha watch the rest of hello monster. I think it kinda describes his character there of what you are looking for. Or maybe i just have soft spot to those with a sad past.

Where on earth did you hear that?  Wiki wasn't so detailed about his past !  But I understand celebs usually keep their personal lives quite private, so it makes sense that we don't know much about him.  In a way, it's a good thing to know less about his personal life so we can appreciate him for his career rather than what he did in his own time.  Bo Gummy has become such a gentleman; it only shows the result of good upbringing, and deep-rooted religion probably plays a role too.

 

Maybe what I described sounds like his character from 'Hello Monster'.  But what I really meant is a character- evil or not- does things that we don't understand, only he does because it's how he has learnt to survive from childhood to adulthood.  I'm not sure if you like reading, but I recently read a book called 'A Little Life' by Yanagihara.  Anyway, the main character was this really complex person who suffered child abuse and every rule he made for himself was done to ensure his survival.  It's quite an emotional and touching book.  The central character (Jude) is something I'd like to see PBG act because it is complicated; Jude's life really explores moments of vulnerability, hurt, the fragility of happiness and unconditional friendship.

I like reading very much. If i have time i read. Ill search this book you are talking about. Hopefully there is an ebook of that:)

 

Not to brag or something but...

 

 

I usually write fics and i usually get reference of it from the books i read. Especially those that talks about life. Im actually searching for references on the different issues that we usually experience in life.

 

Yes, do post the article about his family!  Even a crumb on his personal life is good because it's still a mystery to me 

 

 

Do you have GoodReads? I usually use it to mark the books I've read and sometimes review a few of them.  The link to my account is in my sig if you're interested   The book is called 'A Little Life'.  It's quite a long book and people either love it or don't, but most do.

 

 

I used to write fanfics in the past; actually I started one like a year ago and just left it on hiatus because i don't have the motivation and creativity to keep the story going.  It's like psychological story that's why I cba with it anymore lel good luck with your fic~

Yeah, me too.  I don't really care much whether it's original copy, just as long as it's in HD.  Besides, the special features can be found on the internet, there's probably more on the web than on hardcopy.

Umm. You mean *coughUscough* haha yeah. I guess they are so close to each other even their reply castmates are there and often mention him. Funny cause if you read the post of the user above a lot said they got sad he called hyeri wife. Lol but bogum is just nice to everyone so i dont really worry.

I think Bo Gummy possesses the special aura of friendliness and the manners of a gentleman. I'm a little envious of Hyeri, but she knows him on an actor's level so I can't blame them for their closeness. Honestly though, I don't know any actors or actresses who own a bad reputation for ill manners, so PBG's kindness is seen as standard.

I'll catch a glimpse of Park Bo Gum and the cast today in Cebu. Wish me all the best. I will try to give him my Moonlight fanart and a congratulations (drama) letter. Waaa. There will be a lot of people/fans for sure    I'll edit this post later and post fanart I made.
