I mean i love how it's traditional and everything, but they need to stay warm every winter and someone might not always be there. The electrical bills, people. Coal can be donated. But very hard to donate for electrical bills.... And old houses may not be safe for an electric heater to be on the whole day throughout winter. It would make it easier on them. it's statistically known that mortality rates are proportional to the coldness outside, in fact each 1 deg decrease in temp. increases mortality rate by 3% I say KOR is relying on these annual brickete donations so they don't have to spend money themselves, shame! rather, why don't they have them? do korean elderly not like radiators or is it just not a thing in korea? Well these villages exist in Korea, where the population is basically all elderdly. The youngest age is probably like 70... I think they could at least buy the elders some kind heating system. THey don't have to tear down a wall and build something new, just a simple generator they can hook up too outside with a light weight heater that can be used. Not thatttt expensive.
