They celebrated Woonie's bday on my bday during one of their fanmeet/concert in Japan... 

I hope they do a comeback on June 8...

That's so fun! I love having similar birthdays to idols. But Taemin has the same birthday as me (one year younger) so it's not cool for me  But Shadow did come out on my birthday (it was still the 18th in USA when MV was released  ) which was a gift in itself 

 

I'm just now noticing his face in the gif, his little smirk thing. Too cute tbh.

Ah, yes. Shadow era was a great era. 

One of the first things I did after giving in to Beast was watching their Weekly Idol episodes (maybe my humour is different, 'cause people often tell me that they're not funny   but I always find them to be) and my mom had to come and check on me after I started choking out of laughter. 

 

I loved all the variety Beast has done together. Weekly Idol, Burning the Beast, B2st Almighty.

 

Beast has to be one of the funniest groups in kpop. If it isn't the funniest then I guess they're the ones with the best chemistry. I love their cringe-worthy c/o Woonie jokes and the cute and funny things they do. I think it has to do with their rapport. They just jive well with each other. They don't look like they've just been forced into the group. It's like they grew up together. ^^

I don't find them very funny overall lol, I think Dongwoon and Hyusneung are the two funniest members to me- but the other guys seem more...reserved; grown up almost? Especially in comparison to other male groups I follow (B1A4 and Suju = full of....not so intelligent ppl lol, and Infinite are really outrageous) - but I can also tell that Beast have a more relaxed vibe with each other especially in terms of members all being close. I've said before that Hyunseung seems distanced but considering his personal stuff and that he's just weird compared to the other guys, it makes sense, but it doesn't seem as tense or forced as many relationships in other groups. 

 

I still watch their variety but I don't laugh as much. They're enjoyable in a different way to me though - it's weird, since it's like a TV show I watch where I may not laugh but it's still entertaining? 

 

One of my favorite Beast variety moments though was on a Weekly Idol when they had to play chicken or something so they could win meat, and JunWoon (I don't know any of the official OTP names lmao) were campaigning to work with Yoseob - which he reluctantly agreed to they ended up winning. Two of the sports black holes succeeded. If I'm not mistaken it was the 2013 episode.

 

I agree, I think that's just Hyunseung's personality and everyone in the group gets him.

 

Haha, I guess because all I've ever watched was Exo's and Infinite's. Exo's chemistry is kinda meh, gave up on their Showtime... Infinite, is hilarious but I get annoyed when they bully Gyu, lol!

 

Yeah, you don't need to be dying of laughter when ever you watch them. You can just sit there and appreciate them in all their glory. And wait for a special moment to occur. Yoseob is really fun on variety though, I feel like he makes everything light and fun. Dujun tries to be funny, just like Dongwoon, his slapping laugh combo is funny. Dongwoon keeps copying his hyungs though, but his fail moments are special... Junhyung is just so posh, it's rare to find lol moments, but when it happens it's super precious. Kikwang's super smile/laugh is heaven. Hyunseung, please, that Fifa moment was the best ever!

 

Lol, no one wants to team with Dongwoon or Junhyung. Super massive black hole combo!

Lmao Hyunseung is such a weird kid. I agree with Nicey (below) in that it does seem he spaces out a lot and would almost rather...not be there? ... it's funny though - but in that regard he would have suited YG and their non-variety mentality much more. Infinite are my fave in variety tbh - I think the members play well off of each other and their variety is what made me start really liking them more.

 

Yoseob is such a cute kid and in showtime it was so funny when he dragged Seung boxing. And Dongwoon couldn't navigate the subway   Junhyung is definitely the most reserved and I think he gets bullied a lot too (on Weekly Idol esp by the hosts omg), but he's a good sport about it. 

 

The day Dongwoon won table tennis against Doojoon will go down in history. 

 

 

I like when they just talk and aren't forced to do dumb stuff (like some of the stuff on Weekly Idol was...   and then the 1 day mission on Showtime - I felt bad for them tbh) since they seem like really down to earth guys. Maybe they didn't get variety training at Cube lol but they need more of a forum type show and get prompted. 

 

Dongwoon on Radio Star added another 10 years to my life  As you know i'm Kyuhyun biased, and when Woon told the story about DrunkKyu getting excited over DooWoon being A type...I knew he was solidified as my bias. Anyone who has the guts to call Kyu out wins in my book  I also loved Dongwoon on Super Idol Chart Show. I thought he was really funny there, especially paired with hopeless Ryeowook who tried so so hard. I wish the rest of Dongwoon's eps on SIC would get subbed, I've only found up to ep 6 and then some clips here and there...

 

Off topic:

Infinite: Elephantry school! It was one of the best things ever. My favorite has to be Sesame Player, the first few episodes where they'd escape their manager. Hoya would always be the one to go home last. ^^

 

I feel like L has the same vibe as Junhyung or Hyunseung... Hmm...

 

 

Do you know where I can find his episode on Radio Star? I wanted to watch it before, I guess I gave up looking for it.

I think Dongwoon is the same as Kyuhyun in that they aren't afraid to bully (?) their hyungs, for the sake of variety.

They're not always funny, and I get that. Some of their moments are golden, though (like that one episode of Weekly Idol). But I guess it's their natural interactions with each other what I find the most entertaining. 

 

I used to have a lot of cuts from SICS but all of them have been removed by YT... But I think some Infinite sub team has the whole episode where they call Dongwoon to talk about his fear of bugs, I'll see if I can find it. 

 

I like seeing them laugh together. Especially Kiki, Dujun (because he slaps the nearest person to him lol!), and Dongwoon (he sometimes looks like he is going to spazz or die of laughter)

He charted twice, if I remember correctly. He charted # 5 on "Idols who look like movie characters" and # 4 in "Idols who get scared easily - Bugs". It was funny, 'cause while he was MC-ing he kept waiting for his moment, and when he finally did, he was not MC-ing anymore... and he charted because of his fear of bugs. 

 

Woonie T_T I felt sorry whenever he wouldn't chart... lol! He's so cute!

lol about Dongwoon charting makes me remember that one interview early last year when Junhyung didn't know much about Dongwoon's activities and he said that it doesn't really matter coz Junhyung won't appear on the chart. The rest of Beast were laughing a lot about it. Someone post that gif set.   And Junhyung actually appeared first before Dongwoon iirc. lol

 

I remember that ^^ I think I read that somewhere it in the Beast thread.

Yes, this is a new hair cut. That hair style T_T Not a huge fan of it... All of the other boys have really nice hair now... The curse has been passed onto DW.

 

Wait, this was his hair for the Good Luck photobook right? Well, it just has to be styled right. Then I'm fine with it again. Lol!

That coat looks so unflattering on Doojoon. Bless your physique, Dongwoon, cause it doesn't look as big on him. 

 

I love his hair. Most of the time, if I can see his forehead I'm fine (except for that last selca, jfc). 

 

That last selca seriously... Moses parted his hair for that one... He's fired now,..

 

I have come to terms with his hair. I realized after contemplating through his photos, that one of my fave styling of his, has the same hairstyle. The angle just looks wrong sometimes... Like someone ironed the left part of his hair on his head.
