would you prefer SM title tracks to have no rapping?

I for one am super happy that there is absolutely no rapping in Everybody and Symptoms (even though Symptoms isnt a title track)

would SM do better to invest in singing lessons for the weaker singers in their groups?

or just giving them super easy lines that would require very little effort vocally?

i mean Minho still isnt a good singer but he's improved enough to where he has more singing lines

sorry if this thread has been made before~

Yeah, I mean I love Minho but sometimes his raps can just ruin a song for me so I was really happy when he didn't in both Everybody and Symptoms. This also goes for other groups in sm too but I'm more biased towards shinee. Not all songs need rap especially when the person is bad at it.

Yes but that goes for a lot of other groups from other companies too.

Uhm.

Yes I would. The "rappers" all suck. I especially hate raps in ballads.

idk if Verbal Jint is considered a good rapper but he ruined this song for me

(im just not a fan of rapping in general even though their are exceptions like Zico)

I don't mind any raps from their title tracks. But usually those raps ruin their song. And most of the "raps" aren't even proper raps. They're just quickly-spoken words.

SHINee's shouldn't rap at all. All of them have decent to acceptable vocals and they don't need raps to fill up a song.

Well, at first I think it depends for the song/rap part. Sometimes Minho had a good rap in some song, sometimes it's sounds bad & in some song his singing more pleasant to hear. But, tbh since symptoms & everybody I prefer him to sing, no more rap :)

As long as it fits into the song, I don't mind. The problem comes when it's forced into a song so that the person has a rap part when it's better to just let the song go without.

It's not like Minho's rap in particular bothers me (cause honestly i don't really care for rap), but he has a nice singing voice and he proved it in their ballads, so it's such a pity.

Idk why SM is so scared to let him sing, they autotuned him like crazy in Everybody, it's not necessary really...

So yeah i hope so cause i very much prefer his singing, but a few raps here and there don't really bother me unless they totally ruin the flow of a song.

Actually I was really sad when I heard Everybody because I was waiting for a Minho rap   They've been much better lately.

It depends on the song really. I personally love raps in certain songs. Minho's raps in Lucifer takes the song to the next level for me, fucking unf. Dream Girl wasn't bad either. Honestly, the raps aren't always that bad. But raps in ballads are pretty difficult to pull off. It can be done nicely but SM doesn't know how to do it nicely.
