This requires: -some gas each day -mechanical maintenance .. A horse would require -quite a bit of water each day (especially in hot dry environments) -a whole sack of food each day -sleep each day (for decent performance) -emotional maintenance in the middle of battle and even when within earshot of any explosion -disease maintenance in the middle of battle (bio, chem, nuke) and all the time ..
