Yeah, I feel like Bo Mi is kind of a badass xD. In the second gif, it seems that Dong Ha wasn't happy that she wore his dead wife's dress and told her to take it off and so, she decided to do it in front of him, HAHA.

Oh My Gosh', it looks so freakin' good. Like for real.

At first, when she got casted, I was just happy she was able to get another acting gig and I really didn't expect much but I am so happy that the drama does look good.

Despite the 20 years of age difference, the OTP looks so freakin' adorable together. They have such a great chemistry, it's unbelievable. I swear, Sooyoung could even have chemistry wih a rock lol.

The storyline is really interesting too. Many people are pointing out the similarities with Summer Scent but I don't even care. Lots of dramas are similar to each other but at the end, it's how the story is told which matters. Plus, I am a sucker for cellular memory/family moments, haha.

 

By the way, it seems that Dong Wook is hiding a lot of things from Bo Mi. Jiwon (Jang Shin Young's character) told him that she won't tell Bo Mi they lived together. So, I am feeling less bad about him all of sudden because it seems he has a lot of things to resolve with Ji Won and their break up was supposedly a misunderstanding so there is a chance that at the end they got together again.

 

And gosh', Sooyoung looks so amazing. Compared to Cyrano where, at times, I thought "WHAT'S WITH THAT HAIRSTYLE. IT'S SO UGLY", here I have nothing to say because she looks so gorgeous and stunning. For real, she just shines ... (and yeah, I am in mode super fangirling !)

As for the acting, I am so so relieved. She is doing a really good job especially at emotional scenes. One user on soompi said there were more good and positives comments on the drama and some even said that Sooyoung's acting was good. Get that recognition, girl !

Lee Jun Hyuk is a cutie (and hottie ^^) : "in SNSD, I always liked Lee Bo Mi, Sooyoung the most" and Sooyoung's expression "Yeah right" XDD.

Anyway, it seems they got along really well which I hope is a good sign for the drama. They are wishing for 20% ratings and although it's "unlikely" seeing KDramaland's ratings nowadays, it's good they are confident over their work. Hopefully, we will get double digits ratings at least. But I have to say, I hate when they are saying stuffs like "because XXX is a member of an idol group, ratings should be higher" like, if the ratings are disappointing, it's obviously the idol group member's fault

I am seriously falling for Lee Jun Hyuk's charms. I have never thought he speaks so gently. It's like, his voice is seducing you LMAO.

Call me materialistic/shallow, I don't care. He is freakin' hot XD.

I am still rooting for Dong Ha/Kam Woo Sung in the drama though. I keep replaying the parts where they are bickering and it's so  freakin adorable I also love when she smirks at him and he makes a shy smile (and then, you have Dong Wook eying them suspiciously and kinda sadly too)

Less than one hour. I am freakin' freakin' excited and yet, I am feeling a little bit too anxious XD

EDIT : Oh My God, the drama is freakin' amazing. I just so love it. It's funny and heartwarming ... It's just so good that you don't see the time flies. And I can't believe I had some doubts. Sooyoung is showing such a good performance. She is nailing the comic and emotional scenes, I am so so proud.

Now, let's wait for the ratings. I don't have high expectations about it sadly but I still pray for it to do well

SPOILER SPOILER Frankly, you would have asked me earlier, I would have said that she was but now, I am not really sure. KDramaland loves to use them because y'know, they consider life threatening surgery has to be with supernatural elements.

However, because the two of them has a connection through the heart, she may be "imagining" it. Not that she is cray cray but it happened in real life before.

Do you know a manga called Angel Heart ? It's one of my favorite and it talks about cellular memory. Of course, it's fiction and lots of stuffs happening are really unrealistic but the author understood the concept.

 

I remember only seeing her bedroom so I can't tell but so far and from what I remember, Bo Mi is described as being a normal girl living a normal life whereas we do know that her parents are far from being "normal". Both of them come from the elite with one being a hospital director and the other, a chairwoman so I think, even though both of them love her and she loves them, it's obvious that her mother is kinda "disappointed" with her so that must have caused some frictions/tensions between them and so, her leaving on her own. Well, I can understand because I have a hard time choosing between the two because they are such good men  .

Seriously, Dong Wook is so caring and understandable. He is the cutest puppy ever especially when he was watching her with the grandpa with such loving eyes and on the other hand, Dong Ha is such a loving father. He can be quite awkward and strict with them but you can tell he loves them so much and this is what makes him so appealing. Plus, I liked how he didn't hesitate to propose his help when she was by herself on the rock. GAH, it's so hard.

 

Yeah, her acting is just so natural. I google translated some articles and they are saying the same too. I am really satisfied by her performance, that's why even though I know that the comments may not be good (they don't really admit they are wrong, remember the Won Bin scandal ?), I don't "really" care because I am just so proud as a Sooyoungster, haha

 

I like her best friend too. Sooyoung has such a "good" chemistry with her lol. I like the actress too.

The production team didn't lie when they say they chose actors based on the acting skills. All actors did a stellar job

true, i think they're all great actors. i'm loving the dedication of the producers, directors and writers. they're doing such a great job. i hope they don't disapoint me in the end

Bo Mi's mother wants her daughter to be like Ji Won, as you say, elegant and refined. Compared to her, Bo Mi is a little bit boyish and loud-mouthed. She doesn't really represent what you will call "the heir of a hospital/company", that's why her mother is disappointed in her. Moreover, she has a heart disease so she could die at any moments meaning she can't be an heir. I read that her younger sister is studying abroad and their mother is waiting for her to take the legacy.

Frankly, I really love the storyline. It's not your usual "poor girl vs rich man", it's so much deeper so I am really really happy.

And that's why I really can't wait for more interactions with her parents like you. I read that the actors playing them are talented and respected veterans too so I am really excited. Gosh', she really chose the perfect project to grow as an actress/make her breakthrough

Frankly, I am pretty sure it's going to be a misunderstanding or some kind of messed up thing. Like Bo Mi founding out about Dong Wook and Ji Won, she felt betrayed and BAAM, they broke up and she goes to Dong Ha. Dong Wook is left heartbroken, tries so hard to get her back but then, realizes that it's good for nothing because they are so in love. HAHAHA, I should be a scriptwriter lol.

 

I thought about it yesterday but sadly, I think we are only going to have hugs between them. BUT GIRLS CAN DREAM, RIGHT ? :P Imagine her kissing that puppy ;O I really can't wait for tonight's episode. I like their moments together. They are adorable.

 

Yeah, they released some kind of chart/drawing where they showed the characters and their relations to each other and you have a sibling for Bo Mi. She is called Lee Eunyul. Nothing on the actress playing her so I don't know if we are ever going to see her. Maybe at the end for the wedding if it's a happy ending lol.

 

Well, at least, we won't have the usual "we do not belong to the same background" "you can't understand me because you are poor/rich". For real, they have in common that both of them are really down to earth.

 

 

I have been so anxious this early morning waiting for the ratings so I am so relieved now. But now, I will have to be anxious again because of today's episode, haha. Hahaha, you really love Dong Wook, don't you ? I love him too ... A lot. A lot lot XD.

Seriously, they are so adorable together. Especially in episode 2 when he is checking on her heart and she is poking him, teasing him that he shouldn't marry her if he is so worried about her and he just takes her hand to stop it. That freakin' small moment is just so cute.

I don't think they have been together for five years because his sister in law died and Bo Mi got the new heart but it's more likely a few years like 2-3 years because most people are aware of their relationship, especially Bo Mi's parents but Dong Wook didn't introduce her to his family yet.

 

We have been discussing about it on the thread but it's more complicated than that. The thing is that Dong Wook is lying a lot to Bo Mi because he is hiding the fact he had a serious relationship with Ji Won and that he knows who is the heart's donor. So, when she is going to find out about all those lies, I am pretty sure she is going to feel betrayed especially because they are almost engaged to each other. It doesn't mean that BM and DW don't love each other though. It's obvious that they do but somehow, there are just so many troubles surrounding them.

 

And yaaay for the ratings. I was so happy when I checked them yesterday, haha. For real, Knetz predicted that the drama will be a big flop at 2% and where are they now ? HAHAHAHA.

I hope that it will manage to get in double digits ratings and manage to keep it until the very end.

For now, it seems that My Spring Days "beats" Iron Man on the ratings with almost 3% of difference but we never know what's going to happen in the next weeks especially with My Lovely Girl premiering. I know I am so bad and it's mean to wish others to do bad but y'know, I want my freakin' bias to do well so I hope MSD is going to be number 1 in its timeslot until the end of its course. I say it, ah !

No, for real, I just want it to be good until the very end and to get lots of recognition at the MBC Drama Awards at the end of the year. I don't consider their awards as being legit but Sooyoung getting a Best Rookie/Best Acress would be freakin' amazing, for real.

 

 

EDIT : I completely forgot to add that Sooyoung is absolutely stunning in the drama. I don't know what the hell they are doing with her hairstyle and make up but she is absolutely beautiful and effortlessly <3

I pray she is going to stay that way until the end. I hated how in Cyrano, they kept tying her hair. Plus, when she is exhausted, you can see it so easily in her face so I think keeping her hair down is better

Haha, it's so weird how unlike you, I am loving the OTP so much. It's true that sometimes, you can see the age difference between them but when you talk about "father/daughter", I really can't see it between them. For real.

When they are next to each other, I have this huge smile and those butterflies flying around me lol. Plus, in episode 2, there are so many talks about "sleeping with each other" "one night stand" that it's just impossible for me to imagine them like that XD.

One of the reasons is because Kam Woo Sung and Sooyoung are working so well together. He looks younger than his real age and Sooyoung looks older than her real age (it's a compliment :P) so it doesn't come off as awkward.

Plus, in the drama, Bom Yi is just so "feisty" and him, he is just so immature at times (his daughter Pureum is just so much more adult-like lol) than they happen to compliment each other so well.

 

But seriously, you are going to suffer so much with the drama lol. For now, Bom Yi is in love with Dong Wook and only him but yeah', we all know how it's going to end XD.

 

P.S. Even though it's a melodrama, it would be really cruel of the scriptwriter to make Dong Ha and his children suffer twice the same pain. But heey, I guess it's going to depend on the ratings. Weirdly, scriptwriters tend to mess up their dramas at the very end just because of them.

I had that only once during my lifetime as a KDrama's lover and I swear, I won't recommand it to anyone. It's just freakin' torture hoping and yet knowing that the guy you are rooting for ain't going to get the girl. Well, in fact, I dropped the drama because of it. It was Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. It was weird because at the beginning, I was rooting for the OTP because they were hot together but then, Pillow Husband came and he destroyed everything ... He was just so hot and sweet and hot. LOL. But heey, the good thing is that they ended up together in real life, haha. That chemistry had to go somewhere, right ? 

 

 

Guys, don't you think MSD is a great chance to Syoo to get more diverse roles in the future? I hope Koreans will accept her as the talented rookie actress, not an Idol/wannabe actress who has one face expression (O.O). 

 

Well, you are going to be relieved then. She has shown great acting skills through the two episodes so I am pretty sure that no one is thinking that. Except for haters, obviously.

Even if the drama doesn't have high ratings, I am pretty sure that she is going to get a lot of offers after it's over. While it's true that her looks aren't appreciated and that she is in a public relationship, it didn't stop the PDs of My Spring Days to cast her as the main lead. It was risky but look at her now. She is already getting praises so yeap'. As for the "diverse roles", I pity korean actresses because good roles are so hard to find. Well, I am not excusing the fact that some of them can't act to save their lives but I can understand why an actor would prefer to succeed as a movie actor instead of drama actor. The roles are so much more complex. And it's worse for an actress. Most female characters are well-mannered, kind and naive and so on. It's a miracle and wonder that we had Cheon Song Yi of Man From Another Star or Cha Yoon Hee of Unexpected You lol.

For real, I have been saying it a thousand times but she is just so freakin' lucky ! Imagine working with your favorite movie actor, it's just freakin' amazing. I bet that when she received the script and heard Kam Woo Sung was going to be the male lead, she didn't hesitate a second. At least, she happened to get a good script so yeap', without a word play, it's a WIN WIN (mouhahahaha, I am so lame :P)

 

So in the official thread, an user who happens to be very well-informed on Korean TV, predicts that the next episode's rating will be in the 9-10% bracket because the rerun aired on Sunday did good for a rerun (4-6%). I think I will go with that rating too.

I just hope it won't go like Cyrano where it began to increase by episodes but then, we had a slump with decrease and decrease. I hate it when they play with my heart like this. I remember I used to be in such a bad mood during the whole broadcast, haha :P

 

I have been google translating (LOL) the new articles about MSD and Sooyoung and there was that article which had as headline "Sooyoung, a good example of idol-actresses" with that picture below. I guess they were talking about how she worked hard for her role, giving her 200% ... etc. For real, I am always amazed by actors taking notes on their script. You can tell they really care about it and that's why they just get my respect. I am really proud and happy that Sooyoung is just the same. Plus, seeing her script underneath the "new" one, you can tell she has been working hard with it. It has been kind of scrambled on the corners, the "while" part has been dirtied ... Y'know, school haven't started for me yet so I went to watch some "old stuffs" in YT and it's just so amazing to see how much she "progressed" in her career as a variety star, MC and actress. Many people used to say she was one of the deadweights in SNSD, a talentless member who happened to be lucky to get into SNSD because otherwise, she would be nothing.

But look at her now. She is just shining ... <3

I have already said it many times but when she went to get her award and Shin Dong Yup said "She is really amazing. Good at acting and good at MCing", I had this urge to cry so badly because as a Sooyoungster, we had to come across so many bad things and in particular, mean and hurtful comments. At that moment, all my sorrow disappeared and I just f*ckin' knew that it was only the beginning of an amazing career :D

Hahaha, I am being emotional again ! But yeah, I am just so so so happy nowadays. It's weird how her life is affecting mine. Like for real, if MSD did badly in script and rating, I know I would be more moody than moody but yeah, I am feeling great right now :D

Yeah I know that but I thought that Yoon Do Hyun was going to congratulate her at least for the praises and tease her a little for having to introduce its timeslot rival, haha.

I laughed so hard during that scene because it was just so random lol. For real, the scriptwriter is a genius. She really knows how to place the humor at the most unexpected moment ... Damn it, I am ruined. I love this drama so much and Wednesday is just so far away ... GAH. DOUBLE GAH.

 

And it just feels so good to read all those positive feedbacks on MSD. Like seriously, it makes me so so so happy. And not just by netizens but the comments on DAUM and sites like dramabeans ... etc.

 

Honestly, did you expect that outcome ? I really didn't ! 2014 is just a so much better year for Sooyoung than 2013, haha. I can't believe she had to wait 7 years after her debut as a SNSD's member and even 12 years as an entertainer if we start with Route 0. Like what, hard work always pays

So, I went to search some new Korean articles about My Spring Days and I happened to find those pictures. The articles stated it is for the October issue of Instyle so I guess it's a recent photoshoot. Me likey <3 I love that grumpy and yet powerful style. If the drama continues to rise in the ratings and becomes more and more popular, she will have way too many photoshoots in her hands, haha.

 

 

 

 

 

By the way, I don't know if you have already read about it but the timeslot for episode 6, airing on this Thursday changed to one hour later so 11PM. We have been discussed about it with jibjibjib and it's most likely that there are going to be a drop in ratings because it's too late and variety shows at that hour do really badly (Laws of City on SBS has an average of below 4% --') so yeap', I won't get to act cocky and proud this week on the site, haha.

Yeah, it's only for episode 6 airing this Thursday. It's because of the Asian Games. It's not only My Spring Days which is affected but other dramas too. For example, some MBC dramas already felt the drop in ratings because of the changing timeslot airing so it's most likely that we are are going to be heavily affected especially because 11PM is really late.

Moreover, My Lovely Girl will air at 10.30 PM and Iron Man is still airing at 10PM so they might "steal" some viewers ... Damn, I am so depressed right now. The only positive light is that we can hope that viewers love the drama so much that they could care less sleeping a little bit later but most of them just want to have a good watch and then, they move on with their lives.

Even though I can understand the fact that Asian Games are so important because duh, sports and athletes are precious in Korea, it's a stupid move from MBC because it has been months since they have a Wed/Thurs's drama slaying its competition and getting #1. In the long term, it could jeopardize the drama's ratings ... SH*IT SH*T SH*T !

I checked DAUM this morning and MBC realized that they were going to make a huge mistake and so, they changed the timeslot for 6th episode again and now, it's airing at 10.30PM, the same hour than My Lovely Girl. Only Iron Man is going to air at 10.00 PM but I won't worry too much. At least, the viewers will have to wait just for 30 minutes so there might not be a huge drop in ratings :D I AM SO FREAKIN RELIEVED, haha.

idekw ppl are mad at the other 8 because they are apparently 'not fighting for her'-- things are easier said than done and I bet poor Sooyoungster has it rough too :(

 

Frankly, it's the first time I am kind of siding with the Knetz this time. I am really surprised and a little bit baffled by the comments' section on netizenbuzz and this site. I am not hating on Jessica in either way but I just think that blindly following her is stupid especially when you blame and accuse the other members whereas you don't even know their stance on the matter yet. I am waiting for Sooyoung to speak in Hanbam and hope it will clear a lot of things. If not, I guess I will be done with KPOP and only follow Sooyoung and the other members' activities. I will still check some new songs but yeaap ... No seriously. I don't pretend to know the girls personally but they have spent more than half their lives together so if if it's true that the 8 members asked her to choose, I don't think it's for a random matter but something really serious was going on between them but because people loooooooooooove and prefer to take the minority's defense, Soshi8 are the bad ones.

 

Sorry for the out of topic posts, prettyangel ! I am going to livestream SBS for Hanbam and MBC for My Spring Days in a few hours. I will keep you updated if you want to even though my Korean is really really really bad because I just began to learn it XD.

 

By the way, I thought that Sooyoung was going to be a nominee for Korea Drama Awards 2014 because the list of candidates is super weird where some should belong to the 2015 edition but I guess we will have to wait for it for Sooyoung to get a nomination :D

So I have livestreamed SBS and nothing. I don't know if maybe I missed something because of lagging or not but really, no Hanbam for today either. It has been two weeks ... Damn, I hate Asian Games lol. But I guess it's for the better ? Or maybe she will have to talk about it next week.

 

On other news, My Spring Days Episode 7 in less than one hour, hahahaha
