damn i really wanted to know more details about her drama

 

i'm afraid that if it takes too long to find an actor for the male lead, they'll end up cancelling the drama. it's not the first time this happens to Sooyoung

Yeah I remember that she was supposed to be playing a doctor too and the male leads were Lee Jung Jae or Kim Hyun Joong if I remember correctly.

At that time, I was so disappointed but then, she was cast in Third Hospital right away so I kind of forgot lol.

 

Anyway, I am a little bit worried too but part of me believes that it is because I am so impatient that I feel like it is taking too long whereas probably not.

They just confirmed Sooyoung's casting to hype the drama I think. The production still has a lot to do so it is like an ... appetizer ? XD.

I dont think Sooyoung is that unpopular that no one wants to sign in. Her latest works have been hit and she was always praised for her performances so yeah, let's be positive :D. (Lol, I am saying that every day, I am dying for more updates and I even go to Naver or Daum to check if international news didnt forget to publish it lol. I have no life :O)

OMG I know ! It is like the most intimate picture of them ever ! I guess after four years, they don't really care about being seen in public ?! But damn, my perverted mind keeps looking at the position of Sooyoung's left hand.

At first, I thought it was on his pant's back pocket but even tho in France, it is quite common among lovers, I am pretty sure it is frown upon on Korea so other theories are them holding hands or Sooyoung's hand is just there ... Lol. Such an adorable picture.

I have failed my driving licence for the third time yesterday so I really need Sooyoung's drama ASAP lol. I just feel so sh*tty right now, that's why you are breaking my heart by talking about cancellation because now, I really have doubts and it is killing me XD.

I am sorry if my comment made you feel guilty, haha. I am not depressed so it is fine. I can drive, it is just that during the test, I forget that I have to be very very cautious so it sucks lol.

 

And I feel you. I was kind of optimist at the beginning because I know updates on dramas can be long sometimes but now, it has been almost 2 months and no news about the other staff and cast members. So far, we only have Sooyoung, the writer and the production company. I am seriously going crazy --'.

I just finished watching the first episode of People You May Know and it is so good. I havent found eng subs yet but if you want to help Sooyoung's drama gets more views, I recommand to watch it raw through Naver TV. You just have to register an account on Naver thanks to sooyoungnews' instructions on twitter. It is really easy and free. You could make a huge difference ! Webdramas are great because we Intl-fans can be part of the audience ! So fellow Sooyoungsters, I am counting on you !

Hi, does anyone know if JTBC "A Person You Might Know" is uploaded anywhere else? With or without an account, I can't view it on Naver because it's blocked in my country. I've also tried the VPN free browser called "Opera" that was recommended by a Sooyoung fan, but to no avail. Thank you!

 

I live in France and for a moment, it was also blocked yesterday so I downloaded Hola Free VPN for Google Chrome and it really worked by changing the country to South Korea.

But otherwise, I didnt find any sites for raw not eng subs yet so I am kinda upset lol. I dont get Naver tho. Why would they block other countries whereas it coulp help to get more views ?!

OMG, it is tragic ! I usually dont care that much about hairstyle but it is just too damn short. It reminds me of Chun Sung Hee lol. I know Sooyoung said that she didnt care looking pretty when acting but COME ON XD. Hopefully, her hair is going to grow during the drama, right ?!!

Oh My God, this situation is killing me. I am so freakin' nervous pff.

 

Frankly, I know SM is pretty shitty but I dont think Sooyoung will quit SNSD to sign for an acting agency. Even tho she is among the most respected idol actors, her recognition is still lacking so she still needs the brand value of SNSD.

I am not saying that she needs the group to feed her (I read some mean and harsh comments ... Make me want to kill ...) But I really think she will get more solo opportunities with SNSD than by herself. I Know, I didnt forget how the PD of My Spring Days had to beg to get Sooyoung for the role because SM first refused or even how SM doesnt help much or at all with her career BUT I just can't help and take for example those ex idol groups' members who left for acting and ended up nowhere. She worked too hard and endured so much hate over the years so I dont think she will want to start from the bottom again.

 

And about marriage, it will be great if people stop saying she will quit to get married ... They act like SY's priority is Jung Kyung Ho. She loves her career and is ambitious so really, it is off putting reading those comments.

I just dont get something about Sooyoung's popularity. Some (Knetz and Inetz) like to claim that she is among the top 3 "nugu" members of SNSD, that she doesnt have any talents nor recognition and yet, she is among the busiest members, she has solo activities in different areas, got praised for all of them and she makes headlines for unrelated SNSD stuffs (passeport/Jung Kyung Ho) so why in the earth they act like she is a deadweight for the group ?

I just finished reading comments on netizenbuzz and damn, I am mad. If it was before 2012, I would understand because at that time, she was pretty much jobless but NOW ?

Yeah, she is never going to be an IT girl nor as popular as Taeyeon and Yoona but come on, can we stop acting like she is going to starve to death without SNSD's group activities ?!

 

Reading your comments, I understand your opinions and I actually agree on some points but what's make me scared is the "maybe".

I get that being part of a girlgroup for too long can be stressful and an obstacle for one's career so I may sound selfish by hoping that she stays in SNSD but I really dont want her efforts to go to waste. I dont want her to start from the bottom again or worse disappear from the map. Even tho I said she didnt need SNSD's group activities to survive, I think she still needs SNSD's brand to cemente her solo career. Obviously, not forever but at least a few more years.

 

P.S. Can we just erase 38 Police Squad from our memories ? Lol. Seriously, I was expecting it so much after Bad Guys but damn it, what a f*kin slap in my face. The amount of screentime that she got was so direspectful. WHATEVER !

Yup, another makjang. I think I'm just going to focus on the main pairing (their chemistry is already amazing:ahmagah:). And the fact I can see Actress Choi twice per week  for like half of the year  .

And as much I hate her hairstyle, it really suits Lee Roo Ri's character.

 

Actually, it is not really a makjang drama. At the press conference, the PD of the drama and Kim Kap Soo (the actor playing Sooyoung's father) said they didnt want it and so, even tho you have some makjang related stuffs like cheating boyfriend and broken family, it is a lot more romcom-ish !? A lot of netizens praised it for being like a sitcom with tons of laughs so dont be afraid. Weekend dramas have a bad rep because makjang dramas are really popular (and outrageous) but there are actually tons of them who are actually amazing. You should check Five Kids and Unexpected You for example.

But you are right about the OTP, I am already rooting for them, haha.

 

By the way, I feel like this year is gonna be Sooyoung's. Did you see Sooyoung's and her drama's ranking on Naver ? It is crazy !

She is getting tons of recognition for her acting skills and the drama is getting a lot of love too. Of course, there are still a lot of people bashing her for her looks or for being a SM idol actress but still, they are a minority !

As for the viewer ratings, we will know in about 4 hours but I am confident it is double digits (I hope I am not jinxing it tho lol).

A makjang drama is a drama completely crazy lol. Like some plotlines are about birth secrets, bitchy in-laws, unnecessary illness/car accidents/amnesia to shock viewers and the evil love rival ... When I was still new in KDramaland, I watched a few and thought they were addicting but now, I just can't. You are losing brain cells and hair because it is just so outrageous lol. Absolutely not lol. Sooyoung's character has a bad relationship with her father because she doesnt meet his high expectations so when she fails to get hired by a big company again, instead of facing him, she runs away to a foreign country to prove him she is not worthless and there she meets On Joo Wan's character who changes her life. It is more a mix of romcom/sitcom.

Who says that? Yes, her acting is exaggerated. But this kind of drama requires acting like that. And as much as I prefer more realistic roles for her, she's doing a good job.

this isn't fair i was starting to ship them and i can't wait for this kiss but now the cast stopped filming and we don't know if they'll ever finnish this drama and i'm pissed cause i was really starting to enjoy it

 

I don't think they will give up on the drama. They don't have the time to find another one for the timeslot. I am more worried when it starts filming again, it is going to be messy because they have to match the airing date and all. Sooyoung and cast/staff members are going to be exhausted. Moreover, there are also concerns about the ratings. If viewers switch to KBS's or SBS's drama, it is bad. Hopefully, the situation will get better in a few days.

I really respect and understand why they are doing a strike. It is amazing but why such a bad timing for Sooyoung lol.

i'm just a bit confused on why they're falling for eachother this quickly when it's still episode 3 and this drama is quite long, lol. but oh well...

 

Someone also mentionned this on Naver. I don't think they are in love with each other yet but more like attraction ? They share such an odd past and they even slept together so I guess they couldn't help it and get curious and attracted to the other ? He is that handsome manager who saw her at her worst and even protected/helped her and she is that odd but cute girl who made him feel so many things in such a short span of time ? Gosh' what am I even writing lol.

But yeah I wonder too. I am not complaining about the kiss scene because it is soooo good but I feel like this is going to be a bumpy ride for the OTP because it is a weekend drama with a lot of episodes so they can't stay sweet for that long.

 

And yeah, the chemistry is  

It is amazing how she has it with all her co-stars. She is like Gong Hyo Jin. I remember finishing Best Love which was my first KDrama with her and refusing to watch her other works because I thought the chemistry couldn't be as good as with Cha Seung Won but dayum, how wrong was I.

I can't say for sure but just because the filming slopped doesn't mean they will forget the drama. It is needed for the strike but they won't go as far. The drama just started, it will be too crazy for them to do that.

 

Seriously ? Or you are just saying that because he is so much closer of her age ? LOL. But you know, I remember we even talked about how she kept having huge age difference with her male co-stars and I think I might have been a little bit worried for her acting career because of it but luckily, it is all over now XD.
