It is too much to ask for a snapshot of her date with Jung Kyung Ho, right ? The article had no pictures, I was so disappointed. At least, we had the chilly crabs in Singapour last time lol.

Oh and I almost forgot but yesterday, I found an article on the two of them where his BFF, an actor who acted with him in a lot of KDramas like Heartless City, was asked if he knew about their relationship. I am still a beginner at learning Korean so I manage to grasp some words and all but I pretty much suck especially when Google Translate isnt helpful at all ! So could anyone translate it if they happen to find it ? I am at the library on my phone so I cant check up right now. Anyway, it sounded really cute when reading it I suppose that the two of them already presented close friends and families to each other a longtime ago <3 (gah, now I have to imagine Sooyoung having husband and babies in a few years lol)

Like, it made sense that Sooyoung bought the villa for the two of them or at least, for the two of them to use for more privacy (LOL  ) but damn, it is sooooooooo cute <3 I gotta save that picture right away ! And you know how I joked about Kam Woo Sung and her ? Yeah, I wasn't joking and I actually kind of believed that something may have happened between them XDD. I know it's not right and all but yeah', positive side is that we have more pictures of your couple  . Damn, the official thread on soompi about them were so dead because no news at all whereas nowadays, there are more and more. It's so cool (and somehow frightening because she did say if she had to choose an age for marriage it would be 24 lol. But she also did say she wanted to secure/be recognized in her MCing and acting career first so no worries ... RIGHT ? Marriage is awesome and a blessing but y'know with everything happening right now. It's kind of complex)

Sooyoung was filming for KBS Love Request (ALS Special) fan account and pics here. It will air this saturday 6pm kst. That's why she was with Park Seungil.

 

Also a few days ago Sooyoung sent a text to KWS and he posted it on his fancafe. He said Bomi sent him a text saying their donation to the heart foundation (for msd wrap up commemoration) helped a 22 year old get surgery. She got a call saying the guy has succesfully finished his surgery and says thank you.

So this is how her hair looks before the brushing/styling/whatever ? Kinda adorable lol. No really, it's super adorable. I want her to play a romcom heroine with that hairstyle XD. Y'know the stereotypical poor heroine who, because she is poor, has a super weird and yet adorable hairstyle :P (out of subject but Sooyoung never played a poor character from what I remember. In Third Hospital, even though her adopted father isn't all rich, he provided money for her studies and she worked as a musician in orchestra so yeap', for once, I won't mind if she happens to play that role because unlike others, she has never played it before. But I would prefer a psychopat/scary poor character and not a kind/naive one. IN A FREAKIN THRILLER. LOL, I want to see Sooyoung in KDramaland again !!)

If it is a thriller, her character shouldn't have any running ... XD. For real, I really hope that she is going to change her way of running because it is so hilarious that you won't be able to take the intense scene seriously lol.

 

 

MC Syoo's dresses/hairstyles/makeup are always basic af (excluding Miss Korea event, it was perfect  ). I really want her to wear something different. For some reason I would love to see her in this kind of dresses (ankle-length ballerina-style tulle gown).

For real, I really don't get when stars have such ugly outfits for events. Like, they have stylists/coordinators/whatever. I was wondering, have this aired already? because I didn't see any posted video/captures of the broadcast.

 

Seriously, I watched the broadcast just for her and nothing. I really lagged a little at the beginning but it was for a few seconds so it's unlikely I missed her and seeing how there aren't any updates/pictures on her appareance, I really think they cut her at the editing because there wasn't enough time. Plus, Sean was one of the guests and he kept talking about his friendship with Park Seung Il so the PD may have felt it was unnecessary to have two celebrities talking about him, I don't know. I am so freakin' disappointed though.

Girls’ Generation member Sooyoung teared up while talking about her gratitude for her co-MC on “Night of TV Entertainment,†Yoon Do Hyun.

Sooyoung recently participated in the 2014 SBS Awards Festival for her evening entertainment news program she co-hosts with singer Yoon Do Hyun.

On working with Yoon Do Hyun, Sooyoung said, “He is such an esteemed senior in the industry and since our genres were different, it was difficult at first to approach him.â€

She continued, “I’ve said hello to him in passing, and later I heard that Yoon Do Hyun wanted to get to know me better.†She then added, “When I was on his radio show, I told him that I want to try MC-ing. Then he recommended me to ‘Night of TV Entertainment’ as a potential MC.â€

It is seriously amazing how people are giving her so many chances in her career. Shin Hyun Joon was also the one who recommand her as female MC for the opening ceremony of PIFAN.

Anyway, I am so thankful of what Yoon Do Hyun did. I really didn't know it was thanks to him that she got the MC gig on Hanbam. And she is right. So many good things happened to her after she joined Hanbam. It's unreal and I can't stop saying that but I sure hope she is going to host the show for a longtime. It's such a delight to be able to see her every Wednesday

 

P.S. Damn, the poster above is way better than the one they replaced with. Seriously, I get they needed a new poster because it is two years long but couldn't they take a better picture of the two of them ? They look super exhausted lol.

Sooyoung to leave 'One Night of TV Entertainment' + announcer Jang Ye Won to step in as MC

 

Girls' Generation's Sooyoung will be stepping down from her position as MC on SBS's 'One Night of TV Entertainment'.

The idol has hosted the show for 2 years and 6 months now, starting her run back in June of 2012. The last episode with Sooyoung will air on Christmas eve, the 24th.

The reason for her leave, as suspected, is due to her busy schedule. As fans know, Sooyoung has been juggling her schedule filming for this show as well as her drama while also carrying out Girls' Generation activities. Because there is said to be a lot of overseas promotions next year in addition to domestic schedules, she has made the ultimate decision to step down. She will relay her goodbye to viewers on the upcoming episode airing on the 24th.

 

Filling in the empty MC spot will be announcer Jang Ye Won, who is known as the host of 'Animal Farm', 'Football Magazine Goal!', and 'Power FM Jang Ye Won's A Night Like Today's'. She'll start appearing on the episode airing on January 7th of 2015.

Damn it, I can't believe it !!! People seem to be happy because it says more overseas activities but I am so freakin' disappointed. She was awesome in Hanbam and it allowed her to have so many good activities plus her chemistry with Yoon Do Hyun ? Gosh', why did I talk about it the other day ... It doesn't make sense though. Why would she talk on SAF about Hanbam if she was going to leave so soon ?

Me too. I'm so sad when reading this news. I know SNSD has so many schedules but I still want to see her more on TV/broadcast.

 

Seriously, even though I am going to miss so much Sooyoung on TV every Wednesday, I truly miss the days where SNSD was on TV. Like for real, I get that overseas activities are really good but I really think they should stick around in Korea for more time and focus on what they really want to do especially in music. It's like SM keeps pushing them out of the country and for the long term, it's not good. Obviously, they ain't going to be irrelevant in Korea anytime soon but yeap ...

 

Anyway, I know it has been hard for Sooyoung because, no matter where she is, every Wednesday, she has to film for Hanbam for its live but as selfish as it sounds, HB just did so many good things for her that it feels like the end of an era ?

Writer Park Ji Sook has made her perspective regarding the casting of Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung in the MBC drama â€œMy Spring Day.â€

 

On an interview that was recently conducted, Park Ji Sook said, “When I was first planning the drama, it was a very shabby story that couldn’t even be explained in a sentence. There wasn’t even a story about a heart transplant. I just wanted to tell a mellow story about a man and a woman who should not have fallen in love, but confirm their love together through the difficult time. I didn’t add in anything special or try to put in anything new, but I tried to write it in a unique way.â€

 

Park Ji Sook said of the controversy of casting Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung in the drama, “If there is one thing that I feel sad about, it was that there were a lot of talk about the female lead of the drama. However, there was no influence of her agency or exchange of money involved. She had just auditioned with the hopes that she would get even a small role.â€

 

Park Ji Soon added, “Her acting was different because it wasn’t as polished as we often see from actresses, but that made me and the director feel, ‘Shouldn’t that be what Bom Yi is like?’ Her laughter and her genuine speech and such honest and innocent image really felt like Bom Yi. She just was Bom Yi.â€

And because we have to celebrate whatever is worth celebrating, I just checked the ratings for SBS and KBS Drama Awards and indeed, MBC had the highest rating so far.

It's worth nothing that SBS was a more star studded award ceremony because they had celebrities like Jun Ji Hyun/Kim Soo Hyun/Yoochun/Park Shin Hye/Lee Jong Suk ... etc. So yeap', it's a big treat for me lol.

Again, I am not implying that it was thanks to our one and only amazing girl but y'know, it does feel good

Another pointless post but people keep giving 10/10 stars to My Spring Days and posting good comments on DAUM so despite the final episode airing more than 2 months ago, the overall rating of the KDrama went from 8.9 to 9.2. It's amazing

LOL, you really don't like her with bangs ! Perso, if I had to compare, I prefer her bangs in My Spring Days than in Dating Agency Cyrano. I don't exactly know why but she looked more mature and confident in MSD and as a viewer, you are like "DAYUM    " especially when Dong Ha confessed to her in episode 6, she was so effortlessly beautiful especially when she pouted so when she asked him "Why do you like me ?" I was like "ARE YOU FREAKIN' KIDDING ME ?!! HOW CAN ANYONE NOT LIKE YOU WHEN YOU ARE THAT GORGEOUS AND CUTE !"

LOOL, I am so in love with that girl. It hurt so bad XD.

 

Anyway, as you said, let's hope for an even better storyline. I want to see kickass/badass Sooyoung as a cop. I can't get over how she nailed her role in that small CF. And you can tell that the director thought the same too seeing how she was the member with the most screentime with three scenes lol. PRAYING SO DAMN HARD

90% of SYsters can't stand Syoo's bangs. I swear, every single day someone bitches about her hair on Twitter. 

Anyway I really want her in another drama or movie soon. Plus, I want SM to push her in Japan. And no more dying indealistic characters, as much I love Bom Yi, Min Young and Eun Jin, she needs something completely different. It's pissing me off when some people say SY isn't that good, because she plays herself in every single drama (which can be a compliment, cause all her characters have been so likable so far).

BTW,  have you seen Gone Girl? I was really impressed with Rosamund Pike after seeing this movie. Amy was very compilcated role, yet she totally outshined her costars (especially Ben Affleck). I really want Soo to play someone like Amy. Not in the near future, ofc, she still needs to be polished as an actress. But seeing how she improves with every role, I feel she's capable to portay much more complex characters.

 

Exactly. I am so fed up of those people saying that she isn't good at acting because she is playing herself or that her characters are the same. There are so many wrongs in those criticisms but whatever, my main beef is that Eun Ji, Min Young and Bom Yi weren't the same at all. Just the fact that those three characters were created in storylines with different genres (medical/rom-com/melo) differenciated them. But somehow, I can understand why for some it may seem that way because they all share the "sweet looking young woman with a heart of gold" persona. Aside from it, they don't share much. Be it their families (adopted with a single father/not much info about her family/lovely household), their relationship (one sided love with an "oppa"/a disaster with love/torn between two brothers) and even their jobs (viola player/couple matchmaker/clinical dietitian) are different.

And frankly, this is what I like about Sooyoung's acting career. Ever since she was a second female lead back in 2012, she chose projects with different genres and different characters and settings. It allowed her to adapt and grow so much as an actress and I don't know if it makes sense but for me, Bom Yi is the better version of Eunji/Min Young. Sooyoung acted Bom Yi so much better compared to Eun Ji especially the emotional scenes. She was good in Third Hospital but dayum, when she cried in My Spring Days, it looked so natural. Like really coming from her heart. And she succeeded at balancing with the comic moments, much better than Min Young in Dating Agency Cyrano. The more amazing thing is that she was already good in those two previous KDramas so yeap' My Spring Days is really the proof that that woman is a combination of natural talent + hardwork 

 

Anyway, even though I disagree with those criticisms, I really really want her to get a more challenging role. Plus, from her interviews, she feels the same way. So many times, she said that she wanted to play a heartless and selfish character. Someone that people will hate. And it is making me so proud because this is what an actress should aspire too. Be versatile !

 

 

 

P.S. I gotta say this because it is bothering me so much but it seems those people really do not know what acting is. I am not an expert so I don't want to act as a know it all but really, "she plays as herself" means nothing. A lot of people are using it to criticize someone playing nice characters because they are known as being nice in real life but it is so freakin' stupid. If I follow their logic, when Bom Yi cried after she discovered that she has to be hospitalized again because of heart rejection, Sooyoung nailed that scene because "she plays herself".      .

Sometimes, I reply to them because I just can't with ignorance and stupidty but with time, I just read those comments, roll my eyes so hard and let it go because it really isn't worth my time.

At the end of the day, she got the recognition she has longed for even if she had to wait 7 years for it along with tons of criticisms and hate so as a Sooyoungster, I couldn't be happier.

Idk..reading a sooyoungster account on twitter (he lives in seoul) seems like many sooyoung's fansites closed down when the news about her and her boyfriend broke out, and they will return if she breaks up with him..and sooheart24 is doing the same aka closing because she has a boyfriend (not sure if this is the real/only reason).. anyway don't worry ,we have news about shy by oniontaker and this same sooyoungster on twitter,so she didn't do anything big..I think..we have to rely on snsd9 fansites for photos though from here on..
