Yeah.  Military service is not mandatory in the US so it seems strange to me they will have to schedule military service around their careers.  I hate to say it but maybe if Beast members went at the same time and were out of the picture for 2 years then maybe CUBE would spend some quality time on its other acts...but I can't see CUBE allowing Beast to be out of the picture that long.  They have a good thing going and I think they will probably stagger their service so they can continue milking the cash cow.  It's business.  Or...will they allow the contracts to expire and then...?

 

So Junhyung could possibly write a lot of stuff in advance and maybe they could pre-record the albums as a group... that's a lot of work.  What did Shinwa do?

I saw someone in the forums claim to be an idol...not that that means he/she is that person...but I think Nicey once posted something about someone who was lurking during the time of Dongwoon's "scandal" recently.  It could be possible there are people lurking and studying...Yeah, I'm creeping myself out.

 

What would we do if Beast goes all together to military service for 2 years?  We would have nothing to talk about and would drift apart...   For that reason alone I vote they stagger their service.  I don't want to lose all my OH friends!  Or...we could all just agree to start stanning the another group...lol

 

Beast could be pushy to Cube   (Like they did with the upcoming album, LOL) Are they already talking about going to military together before? I think they had but then I forgot... LMAO XD

As what Denali said, they can just go and prepare enough songs to give us every year while they're on hiatus as a group.

 

This reminds me of how Lord of the Rings is filmed for a couple months but then the movies are released every year for the next 3 years or sth.

Beast can probably have 10 songs prepared beforehand and release at least 5 every yr so it wouldn't be much torture at the very least.

 

Oh yeah, they should do that, and we still can spazz about their new songs  We should write letters to Cube  Or if Cube lurk here, please read this~!

I dunno but maybe Beast could set their own terms on the military thing and not be pushed by CUBE.  When does the contract expire?

Yeah I do need all 6 of them in the albums. I remembered reading that there was an album that only 5 out of 6 members participated in Shinhwa. The members in that group also ventured to having solo albums & acting/variety while the group was in hiatus. They are actually an amazing group. They were under SM if I got it right. When their contract expired, SM wasn't willing to renew some of the members' contracts and the members who were offered a renewal didn't go through with renewing it. The group also went to court I think so they will be given the right to use the name Shinhwa and they won. Some members' families were in huge debt and I think the other members helped them when they were on break. Anyway, they established their own company with one of the members as CEO when they reunited.

 

The feels would be enormous  Let's cry together then

random but all this mess about entertainment companies made me think of Junhyung and what he may have went through with his previous company... As far as I can remember, he said that the group didn't actually show up on TV or sth and he had a slave contract for 10 years so he wanted to run away. I wonder if there's more to that story.

 

I'm soooooooooooo glad he's in Cube now  Though Cube messed with their Shadow promotion, I'm still glad at least he's not in a shady company

Me too. Junhyung is in good hands. I know a lot of fans have lots of complaints with Cube but imo Cube is still one of the better companies out there in the industry. They can improve on a lot of things but at least from what I observe - their artists are more or less happy or satisfied. I think your artists' happiness should be prioritized.

 

Yup, yup~! But I think Cube is improving to a better management, I mean, in hyping their artist promotion, at least it's better than last year~! Hihi~ I hope they keep it up and keep improving~!
