Joga 1,315 Posted December 22, 2015 Share Posted December 22, 2015 So with all of the major companies starting to debut their boy groups this year and the next, do you think we will ever see the rise of nugu boy groups the way we saw the rise of nugu girl groups in 2014 (Like EXID, AOA, Girls Day, APink)? OR do the nugu boys from small agencies have no chance? There seems to be a few nugu boys floating around with great music, great visuals and tons of talent, like Boys Republic, who just haven't gotten anywhere yet. The only had like 10k sales per album in 2012 when they debuted. While groups like Nu'est, BAP, and BtoB all got around 30-40k during their debut year. Really, the only boy group I can think of that's gotten a lot more popular lately is BTOB, but they had a decent following anyway so it's not quite the same. I'm hoping Hotshot gets popular, they're so great and I love them. Boys Republic has been putting out jams too. There's also 24k, Madtown, Bigstar, B.I.G, Myname, History.... so many other great nugus too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There are so many factors. I mean, no one expected EXID to make it out of nugudom and have a couple of major hits but they did. Maybe some random boy group will surprise us.
