Is FNC going to be an Idol company now?

I'm super hyped for Neo School, but as an N.Flying fan, I'm really worried abut the new direction of the company. They were originally a band-centric company, but now they see $$$ in the idol business.

I don't want to see my faves shelved to the side, but I understand its a business.

Do you think they are going to start funneling more money into the promotions of their groups like AOA and Neo School instead of AOA Black, CNBLUE, N.Flying, and FT.Island?

It really depends on Ftisland + Cnblue next comeback success in 2016 cause 2015 was an underperforming year out of many other successful years so it depends on their success. It could either be they are declining, or maybe just a bad year. Plus they probably still make a crap ton of money from their tours as both bands do a LOT.

Although yeah, with the addition of their new boy group I'd say you're probably right (plus I don't think aoa black is coming back) and unfortunately n flying might be pushed completely to the side  Can't tell what FNC will do since they are doing so much lately

FNC is going to end up just like Pledis DSP, and Cube at this rate. Everything seems so exciting at first when you're making a lot of money, but then you start doing too much and you forget how small you really are...

I hope not. They put something different in the idol-packed entertainment with their bands such as FTI and CNB. But I wont be shocked if they would after the successful route they went with AOA. I just hope it wont be idol groups always and not to put CNBlue in the backburner.

They have one purely idol group, one half idol group and 3 bands.

Two of those bands which make more than most idol groups.

FNC isn't dumb enough to completely remove their band concept. Just cause AoA is visible doesn't mean they're going to consider putting that as a priority over what they've usually been doing. Especially considering how much more CNBlue and FTIsland make them than AoA probably ever will.

And that's ignoring the fact that most people in korea already consider FT island and CNblue idols.

i think they will make a transition bc it in overcrowded idol market it would be hard for groups like ftisland and cnblue to make it if they debuted now. They need to move with the times. Fans like to see cool dances, etc. I think they will still hold on to their rockish colors but they are going to move towards dance teams.

more than idol company I think FNC has a lot of comedians now and producers to. This year, even with concerts and stuff I dont know if CNBlue and FTisland can be the #1 money makers since now FNC has a few big names under them. I hope they dont over-expand and focus more on what they have right now. They need to pay closer attention to AOA. This year they had them performing with the same HA outfits for 6 months now. -_-

I think it also has to do with the songs they write, since whether they're successful in their comeback is based on that, too. I mean in terms of CNBLUE, Can't Stop was a bop and charted no. 1 across charts whereas Cinderella didn't do very well.

But anyway, I wouldn't say they're switching gears to being idol-oriented just yet. This is what, their 2nd idol group after AOA? Unless they make more idol groups after NEOZ and completely drop their band company image, I wouldn't say they're becoming an idol company.

i'm not worried about FT and CN because their fandoms are huge af. they are not in declining because the have more concerts this year than in the previous year(money wise, concerts > album tbh) i think FT and CN are walking away from idol image because band and idol don't really match if they want people to take their music seriously. FNC need a new idol to rise with AOA.

FNC just expending their business imo nothing unusual about it.
