GirlBye 27,959 Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 So I was watching a reaction vid (JKTV) to TTS' Winter Story performance, and towards the end one of the guys said that they read an article today talking about how SNSD will fall apart within three years. I was wondering if anyone could possibly find and translate that article since I'm curious as to the points that were bought up. Obviously SNSD will go their separate paths and put SNSD on hold/disband to pursue their individual careers/family and whatnot but considering how this was a very successful year for SNSD in regards to them as a group and individual activities, I'm shocked that articles would be put out saying they are falling apart. Being an I-netz I pretty much have to depend on NB and OH for news, so it would be nice to see different perspectives from the Korean media in regards to my bias group. I guess that article wasn't a big thing or was the opinion of a blogger, because otherwise someone would have translated already and sones would be flipping tables left and right. Anyway, they may or may not fall in the next years. They'll probably reduce their groups activities as the years passes, and of course it will lead to less SNSD topping lists here and there, but nothing lasts forever, so I'm not going to be surprised if they keep the group doing just enough to keep fans sane and start giving a fuck to charts and such in the next three years. I don't think this is "falling apart", tho. Falling apart would be releasing stuff and hardcore promoting but failing to reach what they could reach considering how popular they are, and I don't think this will happen so soon. That's what I assumed at first but the "falling apart" made it seem as if they were not doing well and maybe some other issues I-netz don't really know about. From the girl's statements, they are most likely just to do something special as a group even in the coming years. 10th year anniversary, 15th, and so on. There is nothing from a reputable source that claims this right now. Like others have said, it probably has more to do with their contract situation. TTS and Yoona are virtual locks to re-up with SM. I actually kinda believed it was inevitable after the Jessica mess, but they bounced back hard so really I don't think there's any credibility to it. I can say they will go on hiatus but not disband. We all know TTS especially Taeyeon and Yoona have longer contracts with SM. Reunion album every 3 years is ok with me.
