In any case, I think the idea of a "foreigner" is still enough of a rarity for Korea that they immediately get a lot more attention. Also the idea of a kid that's away from home, is hardworking and is super handsome/ pretty for Korean standards? Nissl 585 Posted December 21, 2015 Share Posted December 21, 2015 I think it's likely that over the next decade or two Seoul will become a pan-Asian media center, a regional competitor with Los Angeles, where talent comes from all over. By the end of that time, nationality will barely be considered as an issue. For right now, I think a lot of foreigners stand out because it takes an extra degree of desire to commit to moving to another country to follow your dream, and conversely the agency has to really believe in you to bring you over.
