ethereal 20,923 Posted December 19, 2015 Share Posted December 19, 2015 so i read a soompi article that said mnet spent 3.4 million USD on produce 101. but even after supposedly spending all that money: 1. they performed/released a tragic song that sounded like it was produced the day before their mcountdown stage(it was catchy though, i give them that) 2. their little intro videos on facebook are a low quality, awkward mess 3. mnet clearly didn't hire a professional photographer because it's impossible for so many pretty girls who look really good in their video clips to end up looking so terrible in a supposedly "professional" photoshoot unless the photographer doesn't know how to get good angels or give them proper direction... so, did mnet lie? or did all that money just go into daily living expenses for 98 girls.... was this too big of a project for mnet? because so far, unlike jyp's sixteen, it's not kicking off to the best start and i feel like there isn't a lot of hype in korea for it atm.... anyway, please support my squad! somi yoojung sua jungmin chaeun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Plus they need to feed and clothe all the girls, which is a lot because they have to pretty much hire entire chef team to handle a cafeteria. The photographer had a lot do and a lot of shots came out well, did you even see Somis shots because they were fucking good. I mean there are 98 girls, you have to style, feed, manage, and transport those girls along with their stylists and other production crews. I think the intro videos aren't bad at all, I think they were going for an audition type of feel. Hence them being just one shot. And if they were edited people would already be accusing them of playing favorites/evil editing before the show even started. What makes them look cheaper is the message videos at the end. and since people/companies send in their own videos, there's bound to be discrepancies in quality, sound, lighting, even the aspect ratio.
