How Often Do You Tell People You Love Them?

Joga

Recommended Posts

Every single day to my best friends.

Every day to my mother, grandmother, and brother. So multiple times a day.

I love saying I love you. c:

Also, the phrase means a hell of a lot to me but I don't see any point personally in withholding the words. If you love someone you should tell them often imo. I never get why people say you should be stingy with it.

Not often. I'm uncomfortable with it as well to be honest. With my immediate family I don't mind because I really do love them, but when it's with other people I'm just like . . . . oh, that's nice. Haha, it's a little awkward. I'm alright with saying it to close friends, but I hesitate with anyone else. I hate it when people ask me if I love them though. Although I know they mean well, I usually end up thinking they're being needy or they want attention.

It's so weird for me..... I only say it to my grandma. If i say it to my mother, it's only ever said in a joking way but she knows i love her, same goes for my siblings. Actions speak louder than words, so I don't think saying I love you proves anything, really.

when i'm in a relationship (or one at least a few months?) i start to say it...everyday? there's different contexts to it though like it's not always that gooey but sometimes it just naturally flows out of your mouth when you're admiring them. but if i'm not in relationship, i say it to my friends now and then but not often. just S.O and friends, I don't really say it to anyone else, not even my family oddly. thats just not how we talk?
