Good. Now people who called Yixing greedy and selfish can shut the hell up.

It may have been originally planned, but i'm 99% sure he got everything he wanted so fast to make sure he stayed. He might not have actually gotten his own studio until 2016 if Tao stayed, etc.

Lay got his studio before Tao's depature tho?

But compare his activities in China before all the drama compared to after. Once he became the only Chinese member, he was literally confirmed to star in new show almost every other day.

 

I already know part of the Tao drama was that he didn't have his own studio or something like that.

Well SM has lost two of its most popular acts in China (LuKris), and I'm pretty sure that they orignially planned that both of those were going to carry out the activities that would have made them more known in China (since they're both chinese).. however now that they gone I'm pretty sure that thy count on Lay the most to carry out EXO's success in China so I think that's why he has so many activities

exactly, the whole purpose of EXO-M was to promote in china from the first place but because SM didn't have much influence there it was hard to do, having personal studios there is the best way to step your foot there, and yixing is doing a great job with that not only for himself but for EXO as well ^^

never paid attention to the company lol. Like I still hear them talk about him and thank him I didnt think he disappeared. Does he still have a role or is he just a board member now

I think Kim Youngmin has been the CEO since around 2012 or so, as for Lee Soo Man, I'm not aware of his role but he pops up every now and then.

You guys do know some of the others got solo activities two years after debut? You know, in 2014?

 

He was getting tons of offers and SM was incredibly stupid to pass them all up. Now he's thriving and honestly doing better than he would have if he stayed. Same with Lay, because while what the CEO said was true - that EXO M was supposed to promote in China, unfortunately that wasn't what happened in the entirety of 2013. They were only sent there to promote like two weeks, tops. If the others had stayed then SM wouldn't have allowed Lay to promote in China either (at least, not like this) because they would have milked EXO as 12 for all they were worth and continue ignoring the purpose of the sub-unit.

 

Everyone is all the better for the events that transpired.

So what if lay leave exo, will exo flop in china?

Last time i checked, other group like BB sold their chinese tour, and they have no chinese mmber.

And lol at ' lay have solo activities to promote exo', yeah right,.. ,sounds like joke of the century to me

LSM was never the ceo to begin with, just the founder. rn he's the producer.

lol This year is only exo's 3rd year, last year (their 2nd year) many members had solo activities so it's not that ridiculous that he wanted at least a little solo activities
