many people look in to jpop smitten by manga and anime only to be let down by the crappy standard and amateurish quality of jpop which never meets expectations and ,ends up following kpop instead

I don't put anime or manga apart from other narrative forms; if it is good, it is good, if not, not. I like the style, sure, but I like a structurally similar style in art or music, too, so I think my tastes come before specific artistic expressions.

Not really, I was interested initially turned off by kpop because so many of the anime blogs I was following turned into kpop blogs-- and they wanted nothing to do with anime anymore.

I'm not into anime or manga at all. I watched some of the ones on tv as a kid, but I was a kid in the late 90's and early 00's when it was everywhere. Nowadays I don't watch it at all.

i got into kpop because of anime ( i heard one of dbsk japanese songs and i did research and now, here i am ). i guess a lot may be fan of both, or got into the other because they liked one or knew about it first.

Interest in anime and manga comes with initial interest in eastern cultures, particularly Japanese. From there it spreads to the rest of east Asia and reaches S.Korea with its music, manhwa and drama. Then it reaches China with its' music, manhua and other reality shows. The directions of spread interest vary with each person.

I like anime and mangas, but I dont have time to read and watch them because im too busy stanning my faves:( And I have read all the good mangas and watched all the good animes ( Im still waiting for AOT S2 and Tokyo Ghoul S3 tho). But im not an otaku
