The dialogue's in English?  Yikes! 

 

I know Michelle Yeoh speaks the language well enough, and Donnie Yen does as well, but given the setting, it's... a questionable choice, ngl.

It just looks like it got the American-isation and sequel treatment. The plot will be shoe-horned as usual and so they essentially just using the Crouching Tiger name for the brand recognition; an obvious money grab by the Weinstein Company.

 

I really wish Michelle Yeoh hadn't returned (like the other originals wisely chose not to) but they obviously needed someone to tie the two stories together so hopefully she got paid big money.

 

The original is beautiful and one of my all time favourite films.

That just gives me Forbidden Kingdom vibes, which was shit. I'm not a big fan of the original Crouching Tiger anyway, but still.
