Full Details on the ’2NE1 Loves Shinsegae’ Campaign It was announced on the 20th that Shinsaegae will be unveiling their new image as a ‘young and dynamic fashion department store’ with the ‘2NE1 Loves Shinsegae‘ campaign, which will run from 29 May to 27 June. Shinsegae, famous girl group 2NE1 and luxury brand Chrome Hearts will hold promotional activities such as advertisements, a photo exhibition, the sale of products that they collaborated on and more. Shinsegae plans to change its image from that of a ‘classy department store’ to a ‘young and trendy department store’ through this campaign in order to appeal to a diverse customer base. The ads where 2NE1 has modelled for will be displayed in the main building of Shinsegae, in fashion magazine DM and other offline media and also in online media such as Shinsegae’s home page, blog and SNS. By using 2NE1 as models in the ads, they hope that the image of ’imposing and sophisticated women’ will convey a message to the consumers that â€shopping at Shinsegae = sophistication’. In addition, gift catalogs and advertisement images have been created for the products that each 2NE1 has designed themselves and will be available for viewing though the blog and homepage. Video catalogs have also been made for the products that will also be available for viewing through those avenues. During the promotion period, there will be a pop-up store and a photo exhibition to showcase the product planning process between Shinsegae and 2NE1. On the 5th floor of Shinsegae’s main building, luxury brand ‘Chrome Hearts’ will open a pop-up store where the collaboration products that 2NE1 has participated in in terms of planning and design will be showcased. The main products include tank tops, hood jumpers, pants etc, which amount to more than 20 items. These items will be sold exclusively in Korea for just a month, thereafter it will be available in Chrome Hearts stores worldwide. In addition, the 5th floor of the main building will also contain a photo exhibition where you’ll be able to see 2NE1′s various looks. ems 155 Posted May 20, 2013 Share Posted May 20, 2013 Sorry for this long post, I need to backtrack and know what happened :P I feel like in kpop once a group debuts the company ceases training them and expects them to improve on their own. They may work with singing but with dancing it can't be applied. Minzy is probably bored with the simple 2ne1 choreo and lack of dance sessions. I definitely agree you. The same routines and the same 20 sec dance solos is probably tiring, and honestly as a fan I'm a little tired of watching the same thing. I really hope YG allows 2ne1 some creativity, routine wise, on this upcoming comeback. Ah I'd kill to see Minzy have her own youtube account!!! She may even gain more fans that way!! Btw did she ever release ep 6 of Minzy TV? It looked MJ themed but it was never released. :/ thats something I think CL needs to improve. Its ok to be fierce and own the stage but I wish she'd let the others take the limelight now and then. The members are at fault too, though. They should take the initiative and try speaking up more or try taking turns in hyping up the crowd instead of leaving CL to do all the work. Oh gosh, about the Minzy solo. I feel like YG won't even bother with her until the last years of 2ne1 or after 2ne1 disbands. she would do so well with a solo and knetz may start repsecting her for her beautiful voice and talent! If 2ne1 ever disbands, I think I may be happier if she left YG for a company more willing to pay attention to her gifts. Yeah. I liked how she mentioned that she went and wants to go for more dance classes in 2011, shows how she really wants to continue improving herself. Idk if she's still doing it now since she is less open on Twitter now, but I'll be ecstatic to know if she is. I wonder what happened to Minzy TV ep 6 too! Did she get blocked from releasing it? Cause she was so excited to release it, and then.. nothing. And as for your last point about leaving YG for another company, I will confess that I have had those thoughts too. Next year is 2NE1's last year based on contract of 5 years, I have no idea if they'll continue to sign on. Makes me scared to think about it lol. No wonder we never got our Minzy TV ep 6, maybe they told her to stop uploading them :sad: Part of me wants Minzy to not renew 2ne1's contract (if) and just leave YG. But Im pretty sure she's renew her contract with YG. If she leaves YG though, where do you think she could go?
