Lol how so?

I mean the songs from 8 are good but i'm not sure if i like them more because they're actually better or i'm just being nostalgic. Either way i appreciate all ff music, Nobuo Uematsu is amazing

God Tier: 7, 9, 12

Good Tier: 5, 6, 10

Average Tier: 3, 4, 13

Poor Tier: 8

Garbage Tier: 1, 2

13 above 8  :omg:

Can't stand 8's junction system and how easy it is to break. And if you don't decide to go that route and play legitimately you have to tediously draw magic. Then there's the story and it's ridiculous plot twist. World and character had so much promise (your sig reminds me of how much I like Edea/Ultimecia) but they failed to deliver the goods.

FF13 is average but I can forgive it's flaws (weak post game, extreme linearity) more because it's battle system is half engaging at very least.

The plot did go downhill after disc 1  I get what you're saying. I just love the characters so much.

The whole we ALL lost our memory because we use GF was a bit  :wth:

posting the intro video for Dissidia because it's always fun to watch

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbgpq0_dissidia-hd-opening_videogames#.UZcYgkoRaSo

i put in so much hours into the first Dissidia. The sequel felt like almost the same game with a few more characters so i barely touched that one.

I still haven't played this, I don't own a psp *sigh* but I remember how excited I was when I first heard about it. I thought the opening was so amazing. Emperor Mateus is such a boss

it's not a great fighting game because of the mechanics. But it's fun for FF fans. So i don't think you're missing out on too much.

no psp eh? That means you've never played Crisis Core and might not have seen the cool cutscene in that one:

i'm sorry i'm too lazy to find english versions of these videos :)

Oh trust me I've seen this. I've even downloaded the song that plays at the start lol. It killed me at the time that I wasn't able to play it. But there aren't enough games that make me want to go out and get a PSP. Also it seems Square Enix have abandoned releasing Type-0 outside of Japan T__T

6 was the best from SNES. all the PSX games was worthwhile tbh, i do not hate any of them. the fact that ff7 gets lots of flak for its numerous spinoffs does not take away all the memories i've had playing that game again and again. if i had to choose the weakest from the psx series it'd be ff8, the magic system was funky. but the story was nice, i kind of liked it. ff9 is the best from the psx era, it was exactly how i liked a final fantasy game to be. 7 and 8 felt a little too modern for me. i only finished ffx from the ps2 era, it was brilliant. i didnt even bother with ffx-2 and ff12

Didn't know this thread existed. Bless the OP for its creation.

My favourites are X, X-2, and XII because they were my first three FF games. I can't wait for the HD port of the former two.

XIII looked beautiful but I still haven't even gotten halfway through the story  .

I've tried VII and VIII but that weird junction thingy system in the latter turned me off somewhat, and I'm playing the former in small doses lol.

I had no idea Yuffie and Vincent were optional characters.... they're probably in my top ten FF characters of all time too.

Also...

So many people consider ff9 the best, I downloaded it on my PS3 when there was a sale last year but I still haven't finished it. I like the modern settings more haha so i'm not a big fan of 9 & 12

It's pretty hard to go back and play the older ones after experiencing the newer ones. The characters in ff7 are walking blocks pretty much

So many people hate the junctioning system . FF12 is another final fantasy that gets a lot of hate, i still have to finish that one..someday lol.

We're never going to get that game T__T i don't even have a PSP but still

haha, i personally have ff6 as my best experience in a FF game, but then my friend convinced me ff9 was the best for his own reasons, and when i played the game again i realized what he said was true. i have nothing bad to say about it. i couldnt convince him to play ff6 tho, he hates playing games with outdated graphics :D

but we both agree ff12 is unfinishable haha. the furthest i went in the game i think is when i saw princess ashe iinm, we're in some desert ruins and the CD got ruined  :omgwtf:  i remember borrowing from various sources when my ff9 CD3 got spoiled, but i just didnt bother with 12.

I liked playing ff6 although i never finished it. I was playing it on an emulator on my laptop and i don't really enjoy doing that. I might download it on my ps3 one day who knows. I wish i could play it on my 3DS. Haha yeah 12...i don't even remember what i'm up to or the characters names

haha, i see we have different preferences then. i liked playing on an emulator as it lets me save anytime, and most importantly the frame skip button. i cant stand playing a slow game... which is why i probably didn't finish Dead Space on ps3. the time Isaac takes to turn around....  :omgwtf:

i really liked 12

but i thought 9 was average so we're even.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one.

I loved almost everything about XII. Except Penelo. She was just.... there.

Fraan and Balthier tho. Ugh. So awesome.  :ahmagah:

I haven't played IX yet.....

i could say the same thing for Vaan. My biggest complaint about the game would be that the story is basically all about Ashe and Basch and Vann and Penelo are kinda just there for the ride.

9 is solid and is a nice change of pace from 7 and 8 because it's a throwback to older light hearted adventure stories in rpgs. But i just couldn't get into it, though i appreciate the charm.

I liked Vaan as the outside observer though. I could relate to him more because I'd have probably done the same thing as him had I been in his position.

What separated him from Penelo imo however was that her personality was just not that interesting. She was like the Tomoyo Daidoji to Vaan's Sakura Kinomoto (sorry I'm currently rewatching Cardcaptor Sakura right now haha) but with much less appeal. Her character was also barely explored imo, whereas everyone else was.

I want to like 9 I just can't with the medievil setting. Superficial i know but it irks me. Also 12 wasn't that bad i'll probably get back to it someday. I like the chick with the bunny ears

I loved the gambit system tbh D:

And XIII too. Didn't like that it was linear but XIII for me was really nice. XIII-2 though  :omgwtf:

I played FFXIV: ARR. It was really beautiful. The only bad thing was that it's your generic point-and-click MMORPG  :._.:
