Today Tower Records Japan have chosen to announce the releases which stand at the top of their Bestseller lists for the year 2015.  These rankings reflect the combined total sales of the Japanese, Imported, Limited, Analog, etc. versions of each Album/DVD sold through Tower Records stores from December 1st of last year through November 30th of this year.

The Japanese Year-End chart was topped by Arashi’s “Japonismâ€, while the Foreign Year-End chart has been topped by The Beatles’s remastered compilation album “1â€. The Jazz category was ruled by Diana Krall's “Wallflowerâ€, with Goto Midori’s interpretation of J.S. Bach's Sonatas and Partitas taking the top spot in the Classical category. As for Music DVDs, Arashi once again topped the ranking with their "ARASHI BLAST in Hawaii"; meanwhile, the top Soundtrack album of the year was that of the latest "Wild Speed Sky Mission" ("Fast & Furious") film.  Finally, the top selling single at Tower Records' stores was AKB48's "Bokutachi wa Tatakawanai", while the highest selling indie album was Suiyoubi no Campanella's "Watashi wo Onigashima ni Tsuretette".

Congratulations of course go to all of the victors, and the full Top 20s for the Japanese Album chart, the Western Album chart, and more will follow after the cut.

I meant Emotion the album  :)

I edited it.

I'll just type it again.

I don't have the numbers, cuz Oricon only show the top 3 of each week.

She peaked at 8th, so her number will be hidden until she reach at least 100,000 and get RIAJ certified for Gold Standard.

Well at least is more than in any other country and her singles do well there so she can tour a bit.

She deserves better. She had one of the best albums of the year  :._.:

I done a bit more digging.

Emotion sold 12,189 for it's first week.

And it stayed in chart for 23 weeks.

It should at least reach 25k+ by now. Maybe far exceed it.

But I can't know from this point on until RIAJ.

You're thinking of the daily chart where the numbers are hidden.

And the RIAJ certifications only really matters for digital sales. RIAJ certifications doesn't really matter for physical because they only count shipments, not actual sales. Plus we know how much things sold physically from Oricon.

Are you implying that Carly have bulk buyers in Japan?

Where did you get that idea?

By process of elimination

Because from my past interaction with you, I came to associated you entirely with

"Kpop is not diverse enough", "Soundscan", "Oricon + Gimmick/Bulk buying", "idol is dead, band is the next boom", "Shiina Ringo" and "conspiracy theory"

So I pick the one that's the most likely.

It got nothing to do with kpop, soundscan, bandboom, shiina Ringo and I believe you're not trying to spread more dumb conspiracy from that post.

Oricon and how the record worked was mentioned, so it made me curious as to whether that's the case.
