Do your non kpop friends think your weird for your fascination with kpop and korea?

Just curious of the reactions you get from it. I'm asian and i still get the "wtf" "poser" look from friends for being so into it and not being korean...i can only imagine the backlash reactions if your white/black and into it from other ethnicity friends...

Yeah they do...some of them ...When I was still working, my co-workers would make fun of me sometimes for liking it..

Yeah, I'm white and my parents at first were like "WTF?" but got over it, my dad makes fun of me sometimes but my mum got over quickly, she listens to a lot of Latin music so is used to hearing songs in another language.

My friends don't really give a damn. They're just amused by how much I like my bias. They've got their own likes and I don't bother them about it.

I started college a couple of weeks ago

I just mentioned it to the girl who I'm most friendly with so far and she put the most confused face on when I told her, I'm never bringing it up again

Probably. I've kind of gotten over the stage of mentioning it to anyway unless they just ask what I like, though. I don't really get much into it like I used to back when I first started liking it. But for those who know about it, I'm sure they do. I already know by the questions that I get asking about it or the confusion about why I would fly just to go to a concert.

lol nope~ they accept it since well,everyone is different and everyone listens to music they like so i have no problem talking about kpop to them

I'm half/half...they probably think I want to be the other (asian) half more than the other. I can see the look on their faces every time I bring something "asian" up. Don't need to be kpop.

No, my friends have various nerd hobbies so they don't go around thinking my fascination with k-pop is weird. Plus a lot of my friends like it themselves

Well one friend actually lets me fangirl with him and sort of likes it now, another doesn't mind and thinks Korea is pretty, another thinks all Koreans are cute, another likes Hyoyeon and another is just like oh cool hot people.

But everyone else's reaction is generally 'but you don't even know what they're saying...'
