Now that MAMA is over...

I didn't see MAMA for reasons but glancing at the discussion thread there seemed to have been some varied opinions about it sooo I thought it would be nice to poll the citizens of OH to see how yall felt about the show 

 

What was your highlight of the show?

 

What was your main problem with the show?

I only care about 2NE1. The rest is irrelevant to me.

I think the problem people had was 2NE1 performing even though they did not comeback this yea.... Many people wanted RV to perform, also wanted BTS to perform other songs... other then that, it was alright

Crowd was dead. MAMA needs to move back to Korea so everyone could attend which makes it harder to guess who will win an award.

2 stars for me overall their were some highlights but overall I was disappointed and I had no expectations in the first place

It was honestly alright, but there were some 5 star moments and hidden gems this show.

 

Some highlights:

Jolin and Jessi coming for everyone's weaves

Seungri cuddling with Sehun

Twice cringing at JYP's performances (hilarious)

2ne1 pulling the biggest what the fuck I'm back bitches (I shed a tear no lie, that was so epic)

The hot mc's

Taeyeon's opening

Shinee and Psy's quality performances (Psy had one of the best ending performances imo)

Daesang justice

Good Sound System

 

There were a lot of negatives though as well...

Wasnt This award show. where were at Miss a, Sistar, Cnblue, Wonder Girls, Aoa, 4minute, Super Junior, Gfriend, Ailee, Iu, mamao , Girls Day and much more Groups and solos who cameback this year .

But MAMA had to invite groups with silent fans lol.

Exo were great, but they need to fire the stylist tbvh.

IDK that's a good question. A handful of leading up to to this said it aint about the awards but the performances and I feel like if that was the case they should've kept it as Mnet Korean Music Festival instead of naming it Mnet Asian Music Awards. For a 4+ hour show [since ppl be performing during the red carpet part] they could've had more people and managed the time better.

Assuming those groups were announced early enough for their fans to buy a ticket and make travel arrangements you mean.

One- two stars. I still wonder why I'm watching it thb. Every year I'm always disappointed and mad xD

This year was particulary bad though (especially if you're not really a fan of YG groups, their performances was kinda long)

 

Everyone should had the same time for singing songs tbh. Also I don't understand why they are bringing some groups if they are not even singing / only have a 2 minute live performance. It's a waste.

I'mma say 3 I was barely whelmed.

 

Like honestly the only parts I liked were the start of Taeyeon's perf(the rest of it was sadly boring I wish they had done more cause the song fits an epic perf and build up so well), 2NE1's snatch, and Jolin's perf was awesome the beginning of that climax got me.

 

If I were a fan of the others I would've enjoyed it but it wasn't much fun.

Went to sleep so missed like 90% of it. And glad I did. It was shit like I expected. Big 3 taking 95% of the awards, performances weren't anything special to me, etc.
