Mnet reprised more than 10 times Hot Blood but never 2PM or 2AM the rookie award, but I know others that had a survival on Mnet and got/will get the rookie award.

If they didn't have the survival on mnet then their group formation and promotions might be entirely different so it's hard to tell how they might have done. If their numbers were exactly the same then yeah, I don't think the end result would be any different.
