Same here

I was not expecting him to get traded.😢

I'll miss him I wish him to best of luck.

Yeah it's going to be hard seeing him on a different team.

Saad is going to be with Blue Jackets forbe the next 6 years.

Still waiting patiently for updates on Sharpie.

The Chicago Blackhawks' core lost one member Friday.

Niklas Hjalmarsson, Marian Hossa, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews were holdovers from the Blackhawks’ 2010 Stanley Cup championship to their latest one -- the only seven players who were a part of all three of Chicago's recent Cup teams.

Sharp leaves lasting legacy with Hawks

Now there will be only six to pursue another title for the Blackhawks after the team traded Sharp to the Dallas Stars. The trade was made to free salary-cap space and pay for the Blackhawks’ future core. The move certainly wasn't unexpected, but what shouldn’t be lost is what the 33-year-old Sharp meant to the Blackhawks and their resurgence.

Aww Kane 😭😭😭

We will miss you Sharpie .😭😭😭😭

You will always be a Hawks.

How can I miss this? He brought Stanley to Jimmy Buffet again with even more sillier outfit. Is that a parrot hat? Complete with Kaner shuffle dance. At least this makes me smile after Saad and Sharpie trade news. Best of luck in Dallas, Sharp shooter! I heard Dallas offensive power is the 2nd best in the league right now, with Sharpie it'll be deadlier. One good thing the salary cap bring, every season won't be boring what with almost every team forced to dismantle and reassemble their rooster to fit the cap roof.

Blackhawks Capocalypse Part II has started.

Nick Leddy, Ben Smith, Antoine Vermette, Brad Richards, Brandon Saad, Patrick Sharp, Johnny Oduya.

Not too worried as long as Kane, Toews, and Keith are still in their primes. I think they have AT LEAST a few more years at the top.

(First post in this thread; Team - Toronto Maple Leafs, Player - Morgan Rielly)

I want to know what the hell Jim Benning is doing.

He turns Kesler into Bonino and Sbisa, gets absolutely taken to the cleaners by Sbisa's agent in signing his extension, then next year flips Bonino into a worse centre in Sutter while downgrading a draft pick in doing so. And now it's looking like he'll extend Sutter at a higher salary than Bonino.

Some of the worst management I've seen in the league as of late, Vancouver is in for some painful years.

QFT. I'm still amazed they didn't win at least one cup when their team has been more or less stacked for the last decade or so. They're just going to go down as another "what could of been" team like the Sharks.

Wow this thread is really inactive in the off-season... just wanted to share a really nice goal by Gardiner off of an insanely smart pass by Rielly

30 days until the NHL season everyone!

Reviving this thread! How is everyone's team doing to start off the season?

Leafs are 0-2-1, but I ain't even mad because I've got my eye on the draft (Auston Matthews, Jakob Chychrun)

My team was Atlanta. We all know how that turned out and I refuse to root for the Jets. I don't really follow anyone in particular these days. I'm more or less a casual NHL fan at this point.

The Canes looked like straight up trash against the Red Wings. They had around twice as many scoring chances, but they allowed 4 goals on only 19 shots. Terrible. Game would've been 4-2 if there wasn't a garbage time goal. Hanifin made a few defensive plays and scored his first point, so that's good I guess. Cam Ward is garbage and has to go.
