OH HEY FELLOW SHARKS FAN.

The team went to shit this year with all the behind-the-scenes crap. So pissed that McLellan was let go as head coach.

Writing was on the wall when DW did absolutely nothing to improve the team last summer. We can only hope he doesn't hire Dallas Eakins.

He didn't do anything before the trade deadline either (besides signing Ben Smith). Either you try to win or you try to tank--don't half-commit.

Who do you want to see as the next Sharks coach? I would love for Babcock to come but McLellan will probably tell him to stay far away from the shit show that San Jose management had become this year.

I wouldn't mind Bylsma. Lots of people on Fear the Fin like him.

Everyone wants Babcock, even DW hinted at it when he addressed the media on the day the coaching staff was let go. But it's like winning the McDavid sweepstakes all over again, so I don't expect it to be Babcock - although Babcock seems to be a fanboy of Marleau so ya never know :imstupid:

Plus, Don Cherry did mention the other night that he believes Babcock will head to SJ if he decides to leave Detroit - all the stars are aligning.

I'm also not sure the Sharks org is willing to let Babcock have total control, which is what he supposedly wants.

I expect it to be someone like Bylsma, either that or someone completely off the map, which shouldn't be a surprise given how the organization is run. I don't mind Hitchcock, but he's 63, and you'd want someone under 60 if they're looking for a 5-7 year tenure.

I don't see Thornton moving. Marleau hinted at being willing to move if the organization doesn't want him. He's a great guy and it would be great if he could play his entire career as a Shark, but I'm just afraid of him falling off a cliff. He's still one of the quickest guys in the league, and can still command a decent return if they're serious about a rebuild on the fly.
