Article summary: 2NE1's Park Bom smuggles amphetamine while disguising it as jelly through US cargo and this info was released by Segye Ilbo last June. This scandal was one of the most with strong effects among the scandal in 2014. Especially that the police/investigation was delayed, the debate grew larger. What's more of a problem is YG CEO, Yang Hyunsuk's lies as explanation and trying to gain sympathy in order to cover up for the scandal. YG revealed that Park Bom is reflecting but her face is still seen in many of 2NE1's overseas activities.

Objectively, no one can say but it is an interesting debate 

 

From fancafe numbers in Japan, Korea and China, it seems Bom has the most fans but some people would say those are irrelevant. Although I think it takes more effort to sign up to those as compare to already having a Twitter or IG accounts and just clicking follow.  Also, Bom is the least active on Twitter/IG but she still has over 1million followers but you'll notice that any time someone updates, their followers increase a lot. Bom's fault for not updating 

 

Music wise, the public seems to favor her, Bom has sold the best with her solos and collaborations and in Korea, I rarely see negative comments about Bom's voice or people hating her solos or 2NE1's songs.

 

It seems people forgot that "Roommate" happened in 2014. Bom was pretty much trending every week after the show and she got lots of praises (before the news broke out   ) Also, Bom trended a lot last year for her airport fashions and the beauty products that she never directly endorsed got popular too  . I think Dramafever is the most popular site for i-fans to watch Korean shows and for weeks, "Roommate" was ranked #1 in Weekly Top 10.

 

Last year, imo, I think Bom was gaining more fans and getting more popular. It might have felt like Bom was getting less popular if we based it on her visibility in 2NE1's promotion.

 

 

Right now, Bom and 2NE1 haven't put out anything for fans to support so we don't know how well Bom or 2NE1 will do. The knetizen comments might just be from people that were never fans to begin with.

Do you miss Park Bom? Here’s An Update.

 

 

Although it’s not much of an update, fans haven’t gotten any kind of Park Bom update for a long time, and haven’t seen her active in anything, so if you haven’t seen anything new about her on your feed for a long time, here’s something my friend showed me today

Park Bom has trended on weibo twice for the past days, once at number 9, for some random things (The chinese miss her, the posts were about good things)

And today, Park Bom has trended on Weibo at #1.

I personally went on weibo to check out the posts that were about her, and it was wonderful, they were all positive posts. People were also making posts about her saying since the beginning of Spring is in March, they were making posts about “Bom†because “Bom†means spring. So I assume she trended because it’s spring, (spring is coming) and since it’s spring they associated her to the season just to find a reason to miss her, which is just like… heart warming…

She’s also been liking a few things on Instagram, showing us that even though she’s on hiatus, she’s very much “aliveâ€, showing signs like this give us hope that she might make an appearance soon

Again, It may not mean much, but for some of us who miss her it’s a lot.

#WELOVEBOM’s MYSTERY PROJECT – â€WE’RE GOING UP!â€

It’s finally here! WeLoveBom‘s very much anticipated mystery project, â€We’re Going UP!â€. It’s a super fun and super meaningful project we decided to name after Epik High‘s hit single â€UP†in which Bom was also featured in.  It’s a personal WLB project where we would like to gather as much fans possible throughout the world and we hope many Blackjacks will take part in this project.

 

 

Step one: Every fan participating should gather balloons, minimum amount two, maximum fivewhich are tied up to a nice ribbon. To make it fun, just use any color for each—the more different colors the nicer it will be.

Step two: Write Park Bom’s name on it and if possible her Birthday hash tag. (which will be announced soon)

Step three: Picture with the balloons—make sure the writing is see-able on the balloons. (Take it at any famous place in your country)

Step four:      Upload it on Twitter/Instagram

Photo or Video (highly recommend both)

Mention Bom/Tag Bom

Use the project hashtag if posted on Instagram so we can find all the works posted

**WeLoveBom will be reposting a few, the videos will also be used for a birthday tribute video.
