Mnet's new audition survival program, 'Produce 101', was reported to have officially entered filming, and the first episode will start airing around the middle of January 2016 instead of the originally scheduled premiere date in December.

According to various entertainment insiders, 'Produce 101' has begun the training process for the show's participants, sounding the alarm for its official start. As a large-scale project that features a whopping total of 101 trainees, it was reported that the show required much preparation.

Among the 101 trainees, only ten will make it, and will be selected as a project group. This new group will release music under the direction of CJ E&M for the span of a year.

Meanwhile, big name labels such as SM and YG will not be a part of this program. Further, the show will not only include participants from domestic agencies, but as a twist, also include trainees from overseas.

It sounds like an interesting concept, doesn't it? Look forward to the first episode next year in January!
