Mamamoo did an interview in the latest issue of Haru Hana that's been partially scanned here. They talk a little about romance, but the Twitter translation is pretty rough so I did a more thorough trans. Enjoy!

*Byul says "suki na hito," which could mean a specific person that she likes but could also mean people that she likes in general. it was probably "joha haneun saram" before it was translated. The Twitter version translated it as "my love one" (with quotes around it), but it's safer to assume that she's referring to the people she's close to and not singling out a person she's in love with in a magazine interview.

Anyone else get the impression the last few days that Hwasa is saying to all us MoonSun shippers, "You all better start paying attention to WheeSa right now!"?  First there was the quote about making love in the Tokyo Tower, now there's the new video with her wrapped (impliedly naked) in Wheein's arms.  It's like she didn't just come out of the closet, she smashed the doors and splintered the frame.

The last part, the one where Solar talks about how she acts in a relationship. "S: There are times when I’m more aggressive, but I’m generally not the type of person who shows their feelings. So that part of me is passive (laugh)". Can anyone in this thread say that it is not EXACTLY how we perceive Yong towards Byul??? More on the "my feelings are private" side, but every now and then, she makes sure to show, or maybe she can't really keep it hidden how much she cares.

 

This might not mean a lot to people, but to me it proves we are not as delusional as some might think. We are just paying extra close attention so we notice things others might not.

 

Not to mention, the need Byul feels to react to just about everything related to Yong. Specially in a situation like this, talking about something so personal and close to them.

Love it.  They almost can't take a picture of Mamamoo in which Moonbyul and Solar are both looking at the camera instead of at each other.  And that's been true since their debut.

I'm at page 540 in the thread.  The commentary and back-and-forth was absolutely hilarious.

 

I've watched the Battle Trip episode featuring MoonSun in Hong Kong a couple of times now.  Even people who know nothing about Moonbyul, Solar, or Mamamoo mention in the comments that it looks like they're on a honeymoon trip.  One thing in particular gets me, one of the hosts says this:

So I showed her a Moonsun video. We got about half way through and she goes, "Dude. This relationship is gayer than mine." 

She is currently still under the belief that they are an official couple.

 

(Also, I made the mistake of trying to get through all 1021 pages on this thread since I only recently found Moonsun, and I cant decide if that was the worst or best decision of my life.)

Hey, welcome.  I'm fairly new here, too, and as noted above, I'm at about page 540 now.  It's worth it for all the stuff I didn't know and/or missed since I'm new to K-Pop and MoonSun as of late last year.  Also, it's very funny.

Honestly it felt like a little water had been dumped on my Moonsun heart. I know she can't come screaming out of the closet, but saying you still don't know what love is in front of your (alleged) girlfriend seems kind of harsh. Like she could have stopped at "I didn't know what love was" (back then) but the "I still don't" seemed really honest. And during that part Solar was looking down, looked like she was controlling her face.

 

I'm probably overthinking it. I guess I feel sad for Moonbyul if this is how she really feels.

Annoying bit of news I haven't seen in the thread yet...  there's a German band called MoonSun.  I'd suggest Solar and Moonbyul sue for copyright infringement, but the band was apparently founded in 2011, three years before Mamamoo's debut.

Ha-ha, no need to sue for a ship name. It's not a brand, and even if it was, copyright doesn't function like that. You have so many things with this name all around the world: music, film, person, anime, clubs, hotels, products, singers, bands, etc... RBW are not going to pay for the exclusivities of the name and go sue the planète for a ship name... really it's not a big deal.

 

And now Moonsun is at this point when you search the name on google they are the first thing that pop, you don't have to add Mamamoo or anything. I remember a time when you have to, because all the other things on the planet where more famous than our two dork xD So really no need to do anything, they have already win.

It's been ages... But I feel like this is worthy commenting on. I don't know how much they agree on talking about beforehand. So even if Moonsun is in fact on, Byul saying things like she doesn't know love and all that would probably not hurt Yong, because I'd say that could have been an agreement for them to say shit like that.... Not to mention, from a lot of things we have seen in this page in the past. The tonshit of romantic stuff byul posts on the cafe, I would say she was not picking those up from a random past relationship. I truly believe she has been with someone post Debut. Needless to say, I think that someone is potentially Yong, but who really knows, yeh??? But if I am wrong and she really hasn't been with anyone ever since,  than I identify with how bad that can be, specially when you clearly have so much love to give like she does. And in that case I feel sad for her too.

 

 

But what I mostly wanted to point out was the fact that I think she says "person" instead of "boyfriend" throughout the whole thing. I might be mistaken, but if anyone in here speaks korean fluently, please, let us know if she made it a point not to gender her past relationship, cause if she did, than I think that is nice of her given how she clearly knows a lot of lesbians look up to her and maybe she's choosing to let people have a representation, regardless of her actual sexuallity!
