Hello! I am new to MAMAMOO, and I have been obsessed with their music the past few months. I sorta feel uncomfortable shipping real people, but to me moonsun seems real. However, I wanted to bring up a few points that make me doubt their relationship:

1. On this video

at around 17:17 they both seem very sincere when they say they are not in a relationship. Of course they couldn't say that they were in one, but they both handled it calmly, and addressed the question. Even though they could have ignored it Solar brought it up(Moonbyul acted the same as Solar as well).

2. Another is during their SNL video near the end when they do their marriage skit. Moonbyul mentions going out with a guy as a joke, however, her actions seemed like she was interested in actually meeting the guy because she looked a tad embarrassed and sort of eager.

3. This could be both for and against their possible relationship: During their Vietnam trip video I found it interesting when Moonbyul was joking about the video of Solar on her phone, and she essentially says "If I lose my phone there go your marriage prospects". I found that interesting because Moonbyul brought that up so easily. You wouldn't think that if she was dating Solar she would bring up something like that. However, Solar paused and was definitely taking a minute to process what Moonbyul said. So they could be in a relationship and Solar was taken aback by Moonbyul joking about Solar marrying some guy.

 

However these are pretty much the only things that make me think that they are not in a relationship. Of course they are their own people, and they may or not be in one, but from what I have seen the evidence overwhelmingly indicates a possible relationship. Also in these examples there are instances which deny these, mostly of them flirting, so I only mean these specific instances.

At this  point I can't tell if they're in a relationship or not,also I don't think they need a label but we can't deny that there's something between them haha meowfaceplz.png meowfaceplz.png

Honestly, your first point actually always made me think they have something. Their reaction didn't look natural, Solar looked anxious (if you analyse body language, touching the face is a sign of lying), she was stuttering, glancing at Byul as if searching for answers. Byul didn't deny right away, she took some time while glancing around, not knowing what to say and then went with "yeah" with Solar's response. The question could've been taken completely as a joke (they weren't straight up asked if they were dating) and they could've just laughed it off, yet they didn't.

 

You know what would make me completely believe they have nothing? If they joked around the issue, did some fanservice and moved on. To me that would be a huge red flag that they're just joking around with the whole thing. They have nothing.

 

Also, they would never confirm to be dating, "some" or whatever romantic thing with each other. At most they can dodge these questions or answer just like they did here.

it took me 4 days til I got to page 250, then gave up but I assume it might take me a week and a half. Good idea tho..maybe I should start again XD all those theories...

You're fast.  I'm up to page 300 but it has taken a few months to get that far.

 

A lot of the early links don't work anymore, especially twitter posts.  That speeds things up but then it's hard to know what the posters are talking about.  I've started copying & pasting some of the best/funniest comments to a word processor just so I have them all in one place.

We have been through sooo much push and pull, which I love, don't get me wrong, but I feel like this could be a big year for us if we pay close enough attention!

 

 

Ps.: I know we get this kind of "news" every single year, but apparently dispatch has info of a gay couple and, no matter who it is, I just hope they realize that outing someone is way beyond any boundaries. I have read they have rules against releasing that kind of stuff, but you never know when someone will choose to break those rules... On a somewhat related note, If said couple were to willingly come out, imagine how HUGE of a deal it would be for the industry? I get the feeling we are getting closer and closer to the day a Big idol will come out and start the discussion, and I could see Byul confidently joining in on that discussion once it indeed starts... Anyways... Welcome, everyone!

Yeah, every year I'm furious against Dispatch. They have no rules, they are liars with no respect for anyone. I don't believe in anything they can say. I'm afraid for this Gay couple, no matter who they are, it's terrible to live with this fear. We can say what we want even for straight couple it can be hell to be exposed, just because they are Idol, so no matter what Dispatch = trash. 

 

In a better tone, yes! I'm really happy too! Seeing life in this tread it's a real pleasure Haha And of course Happy new year for all :D

Hey, welcome! And yeah, I agree! In fact, I always get that feeling cause if you pay attention, you will see Byul is always all over Yong way more than at that particular moment and Yong is completely fine with it, but from time to time YeBa remembers they are in public or she notices people walking by and she gets shy and flips at the smallest things. laugh.png And most of the times, that's when "Isangay" happened lol It's one of my favorite parts of their dynamics tbh.

 

 

Guys. Please tell me I am not delusional. I was just rewatching Byul's birthday video and I saw a comment saying the following lyrics were written by Moonbyul herself, and no matter how I look at it, I can't help but think it is too familiar.

 

"At first, we didn't know each other's place.

Now I feel how big it is.

I'm afraid if I don't see you

I'm nothing without you

I know I'm not good enough yet

I'm okay with whatever they say

The you, I know, makes me strong

My last

I'll become your confidance now"

 

My analysis:

The first line is easy, at first they got off on sort of the wrong foot. Byul mistaking Yong for a donsaeng and not using honorifics and even after that, I am sure it took a while until they got to be this comfortable with each other.

 

"Now I feel how big it is" Now they are together 24/7. I think it goes without saying how much they mean to each other and how they always spend important dates together and all of that, so it is clearly a very meaningful relationship and they obviously occupy a very "Big" place in each other's lives.

 

The part where she says "I know I'm not good enough yet" reminds me of the things Yong says, like how she just wishes Byul would get mad at her instead of acting however Byul acts, or how she asked Byul to change her ways back in the Cereal Box fight and how Byul said if she could change, she already would have. And also how she is always saying even in her memos and now on her Instagram account (Follow her m_v.film) that she'll work hard to become a better Mamamoo Moonbyul but also a Moon byule. I feel like she probably says that to Yong a lot too, she seems to always be trying to improve herself. She's a freaking angel!

 

"I'm okay with whatever they say", to me, could mean how people close to them probably tell them it is "wrong" cause they are both girls or maybe some people might even worry about their careers and stuff. This line to me has that meaning of choosing to fight for your love instead of listening to all that could go wrong.

 

"The you I know makes me strong". We have had proof of this forever. When she had to become a rapper, she turned to Yong, when she has a variety on her own, she invites yong to tag along, when she has worries, she calls yong late night just to ease her mind. And in connection to the line above, I am sure it could also mean she knows and trusts Yong's love for her, and that makes her strong against those people who are saying shit.

 

"My last" That line is really too beautiful to me. She is basically promising it will never end, there will never be anyone else. And their love will last forever.

 

"I'll become your confidance now." Lately I have been feeling that Byul has grown a lot into her own skin. She seems more sure of her self and who she is and I think she is possibly doing that in their relationship too. You know, when someone becomes mature and dependable to the point where people can actually notice? I get the feeling Byul is entering that phase in their relationship. With things like on the latest Tipsy live where she said Yong could drink cause she'd take her home safely and in the end she held her coat to help her put it on... Things like that...

 

Anyways... I know my thoughts a all over the place, but please bear with me, this is our safest heaven to ship to our hearts desire, so, yeah... tell me if you guys agree that the lyrics fit them perfectly or if maybe I'm just seeing what I want to see...

wow. i've been following kpop for 8 years and mamamoo for 2, finally i found a place to spazz about moonsun with other moonsun fans.

 

i identify myself as a queer woman and throughout following mmm so closely, i do think byul is the one who's more bisexual. yongsun definitely is more of a fall in love with the person type of person. that's why we could see the progression of yongsun's behavior throughout the years.

 

let's hope that 2019 is another happy year for the girls i mean heck, we already got a moon director instagram, let's see how much of her work she'll be sharing with us (we all know model = yong)

We have already established that byul lurks and is well aware of what moos say, I wonder if Kmoon ever talk about mango juice as we do here, or maybe she herself checked this page out tho its in english!

When I first started looking into this MoonSun thing and became convinced they were real, I had two thoughts: 1) Why don't they just come out and admit they are dating each other? and 2) Why do these TV & radio hosts all cover for them?  I thought if I was a TV host and had them on the show, I would demand a confession, not to mention juicy details.  Now that I know a little bit more about Korean society and K-Pop, and what happens to idols who admit that they are a) dating or b) homosexual, I realize that for Moonbyul and Solar to admit that they are dating each other would be career suicide.  So stay in that closet, ladies.  Make it as big and roomy as possible, but stay in it.  Admit nothing until your musical careers are over and you're safely ensconced in the Netherlands.  And if I was a TV host, I would do the same as the other ones, I'd help them hide.  I'd even flirt with Moonbyul to give her some hetero creds even though I think Solar is far more attractive.

 

To my fellow MoonSun shippers: If the good ship MoonSun ever sinks, I don't think you should take it too hard.  They've had a good run up until now, so if anything happens that casts doubt on their relationship, like Solar getting married or Moonbyul getting caught with another female K-Pop idol, that still means MoonSun were together for something like 2-3 years, maybe longer.  That's a pretty good run for any relationship.  Don't doubt the relationship ever existed just because it comes to an end.  (Honestly, I think Moonbyul getting caught with another female K-Pop idol ranks pretty high on the probability list because she's such a player.  Then MoonSun sinks, Solar marries some hitherto unknown guy in K-Pop, a la Hyuna and E-Dawn, and Mamamoo becomes a rare get-together as they all go their separate ways as solo artists.  But I like my previous scenario better, that they settle in the Netherlands after a nice long career as musical idols.)

 

Who else do you see as likely lesbians in K-Pop?  I just took Sana off my list a couple of days ago.  After all the flirting and skinship she has done, Dahyun offered Sana her lips to get some lipstick and Sana backed out.  It wasn't just a brief offer, either, Dahyun actually tried to talk Sana into it.  And Sana wouldn't do it.  Hwasa would have kissed her in an instant, even without an invitation, ha.  Is Sana gay?  No.
