Stop Reaching With All This Lolita Nonsense

Cloud Of Perception

All these people targeting Lovelyz, Apink and OMG for lolita concepts are really pissing me off Its just annoying because they are so ill informed yet still discredit them by saying oh their just doing lolita concepts they just have a bunch of perverted old uncle fans meanwhile the truth is mostly everyone who supports them are teens and people in their twenties and newsflash  NOT EVERYTHING GIRL GROUPS DO IS FOR UNCLE FANS, most of these following girl group's fanbase are teens or in their 20s and up to 30% female fans this was just proven yesterday with Lovelyz who over 50% of their fans are people in their 20s while somewhere around 34% are females so they aren't all "perverted old uncle fans" and even if they are older it doesnt automatically make them perverts like why judge someone as a pervert just because of their age.

I just hate when people say this kind of stupid stuff, they shame girl groups like OMG, Apink and Lovelyz for doing innocent concept but whats wrong with innocent concepts, why are sexy concepts praised internationally while everyone bashes girl groups for doing cute concepts it doesnt make any sense to me, why are you boxing what a person can be, cute concept can be just as strong as a sexy concept, the girls in most of these groups are still young they arent going to do a sexy concept, why is that such a crime people can be cute not everyone is sexy, why is being cute automatically seen as submissive and weak, girls can still be good role models while being cute its just a different take on it then those who wear their pride on their sleeves.

I think this all stems from the idea that any women who isnt showing strength must be a women who is weak well personally I have met countless women in my life that have strength and confidence but dont show it in a stereotypical way. in my opinion a concept like OMG's Closer is inspiring it shows a different side to girls, it shows you dont have to be sexy its ok to be different why is everyone so against this I will never understand, they are so corrupt and hateful always seeing the negative in everything just because of their own twisted mind they think they could shove down their OPINION down people throats well thats not fair to OMG or other girl groups similar to them who's concepts have nothing to do with lolita

I will focus my attention on OMG now as I have seen this one pop up the most recently.  Closer's concept has nothing to do with lolita its a fairy tale based concept, WM worked hard to put it together from the teasers all the way up to the styling of their live performances the girls practiced all day for months so Its not fair for a bunch of you loli obsessed people to go and label them without even knowing the meaning of loli concept their is nothing loli about these groups and here are some teaser pictures to prove my point stop barking at the wrong tree

Lolita, the book, is a masterpiece.  It shouldn't be compared to these basic ass groups imo.

Nothing here is being compared. The extrapolated concept of the sexualised young girl is being imposed upon these groups. Your comment makes no sense so Im just gonna guess you didn't read the post.

@Cloud you beat me to it (sort of) but I'm in the process of creating a post about 'lolita' concept in kpop and whether it is really as prevalent as people claim it to be. I'm covering groups such as OMG, IU, Lovelyz, Apink, April, who get slapped with the lolita accusations and some other groups that actually might.

I cant wait to read it, its getting really tiring with all these people running around labeling something they dont even understand

I'm obviously joking??? The "Lolita" term, concept or whatever you kpop fans want to call it, didn't come out of nowhere.  Maybe you people should read the classic or watch Stanley Kubrick's film adaptation before calling anything childlike, "lolita".

I guess you didn't read the post either since it's actually about how there's nothing wrong with "cute" concepts therefore people should stop shaming groups like OMG, Lovelyz, etc. for going to this direction.

I was actually trying to address two topics in one post.  I was questioning the idea of something being wrong with a cute concept in the first place if its handled in a way these groups do in while also saying that the groups and others similar to them do not have anything remotely close to this lolita concept that people label them with nowadays.  I have read the book lolita myself tho its a great work.  Most people that talk about loli concept are just showing their ignorance by incorrectly identifying these groups as lolita which couldn't be farther from the truth
