I'm one of those people who's just there but weirdly enough I don't think my family would be shocked if I was somehow not straight.  :hurr:

I personally wouldn't be scared to come out. My mom has made it pretty clear she doesn't care. My mom though is strange. She freaked out when I got dreadlocks but then was pretty cool with me getting a motorcycle of course until everyone started sending her motorcycle death videos. Which is funny because she was the one who took me to classes, she was there when I bought it and it was delivered.

I'm pretty sure I know I like girls and guys, guys a bit more but my sexual attraction for girls as more than just idolization or she's really pretty is def there. My mother is deceased and I could have never told her. The rest of my family is heavily christian and it scares the hell outta me that my grandma won't accept me anymore, she's the type that thinks church would fix it and she always criticizing gays on TV. I've told younger family members who get it I guess. My brothers and younger cousins know, my friends know, some of my co-workers but that's it.

I did centuries ago when the pangea and the dinosaurs: I went horrible, but i'm a tough cookie, it went like this " Listen bastards, you created me so yolo, deal with it is your problem not mine, don't try anything sneaky it will explode in ur faces", they tried to send me to see a psychologist of course and I went super sayayin, and they got it like " ok, this is the limit, got it, go back to your normal form "

I dont think anyone is 100% straight or 100% agy so that`s not wierd at all haha

and sexual attraction and romantic attraction are two different things <3<3

I've told some of my family my parents know, I told them when I was 12 I liked girls and boys. And they thought it was a phase. But I think they understand that no it's not just a phase. But recently I've been thinking that my gender doesn't matter and I haven't told them about that like I don't mind being called him or her or pretty or handsome. But I think that's more of just a personal mindset rather than like tied to my societal identity.

I've never outright told my family, but I think my dad knows cos he buys Christmas and birthday presents for my partner (he's only so far been introduced as my bff) and considers him as "one of his family"  :ohbi:

My mother keeps dropping the "when I was your age I had already had kids" card  :unimpressed:

people will say different stories but only you can really judge are your parents homophobic in general or do they have gay friends and support equality?

if your parents are homophobic its harder to come out obviously but if they love you they will support you , if they call you names after etc.. they are vile bitches and get them out of your life

When I was like thirteen or so...I'm twenty now.

My mother didn't seem to care at all. My dad made a few rude comments, but he didn't react as badly as a lot of parents do. I guess I'm lucky that my parents aren't as conservative as most people where I live are.
