For the sake of preserving your brain cells from staying on anything non-meme related on AKP I will post the comment here instead in spoilers. (username: aquamaraqua) I'm the writer of this petition. Was also the one who sent in this tip. Allkpop's article has made it seem like it's BTS who are the ones this petition was made for. That is not the case. I am not an ARMY. This petition is specifically for what it is stated for: equality of all artists and the appreciation of music as well as getting an actual expert panel for these award shows. Most commenters are ARMYs because they are the largest population effected by this, in that Dope, a very deserving dance, was not nominated. Has nothing to do with Big Bang themselves, just that the format of these shows is corrupt. There are other fandoms of other artists like CROSS GENE, Rubber Soul, B1A4 etc. who want their artists to perform and be nominated on these shows but they are not nearly as big so their opinion is not as apparent. Also, this petition has been translated into Chinese, French, Tagalog and Spanish. We are looking for a Korean translator at the moment as well as a Japanese one. We are trying to get the word spread as much as possible, and ultimately to Korean fans.
