Syrian and Russian special forces have rescued the second pilot of a Russian warplane shot down by Turkey.

What We Know:

- Lt Col Oleg Peshkov and Cpt Konstantin Murakhtin are the names of the pilots. The former died from rebel gunfire and will be awarded "Hero of Russia".

- One marine was killed during rescue operations. The marine and the rescued co-pilot will recieve "Orders of Courage"

- The rescued pilot is currently in a Russian Base in Syria

Thing is, Turkey can't just shoot it down, they need to get their jets to escort them out.

 

In this case, Russia's jet was in the airbase for ONLY 7-10 seconds, so no point in warning them multiple times.

 

Turkeys military are the morons. Who the fuck antagonises the country that supplies more gas to you than it does any other nation, going into winter. Lucky for them Russia have shown resolve around the issue and haven't made a knee jerk reaction.

They're lying, in their official letter to the UN they said Russia was in their borders for 17 seconds, yet they claimed they warned them 10x?? Also the Su24 goes at 900lm-1300km ,which means if it did cross borders, it couldn't have been there for more than 5 seconds. In the letter, Turkey also claims the Russian jet was 1km into their territory, is that what they shot it down for?? Also Erdogan is a fucking terrorist and hypocrite, in 2012 his jets violated the Syrian borders and was shot down, and he claimed just because of a short border breach you shouldn't be shot down LOL
