I thought he was looking a bit fuller too, but as I see more pics I don't think that's the case. He definitely looks less run down, though. I think the few days off from tour and not having to film his drama did him well. 

Yeah, I'm glad filming is done so it's one less thing for him to worry about.

I don't know if it was this thread, another thread here on OH, or a different site, but someone pointed out that Sungyeol always looks at the ground when he's dancing. When I pictured him dancing in my head, he gaze was always down so I went and watched some videos and it seems true. I had never noticed it before it was pointed out. It's sad. :/

 

 

On another note, does anyone have a clear vid of a performance of Steps/Footsteps/Walk to Remember/Whatever the hell the english title is? One where you can see all the members? Or has anyone seen this song live? I'm asking because I saw a couple fancams of Sungyeol's part and it looks like he sings the "can i say those words?" line during concerts. In the studio version it clearly sounds like Sunggyu on that line (https://youtu.be/n9_l9BYSbyw?t=58s) and it fits into the back and forth they have on that song, but from the fancams Sungyeol's singing that part. But none of the vids show Sunggyu during that part so I can't tell if it's both of them singing. Basically, I'm just curious if it's solely Sungyeol's voice I'm hearing sing that line. Because if it is... damn, son.

I think Sungyeol sings the entire part he shares with Gyu in that song by himself during the concerts. I wonder why... They could've just given him the entire line on the studio version then -_-

I had noticed it, but I hadn't really noticed if that makes sense. Like I saw him dancing with his eyes focused downward, but it never really registered in my mind that he wasn't looking up and that that was unusual. 

 

 

OMG. Thanks! I'd searched all over for a fancam that had all of them, but I'd only found like two and they both had the member singing in the spotlights while the others were in the dark so I could never see if someone was singing along with Yeol. Now that I've got that confirmation that it's him... why didn't you let him do that line, Woollim!?!? It really shows off his voice and it sounds so nice. It would've gone in my "Look at Yeollie's Voice Sounding So Beautiful" collection along with Moonlight. 

Wow, I have such bad memory. I did just remember the past conversation about him always looking at the ground, but I've still never really noticed/payed attention to it... :/

 

It really makes no sense of why they would do that. It would make more sense if he sang solo in the album and Gyu backed him up live... But oh well, I'm glad we all least get to hear all of him live

It is hard to define voice of Sungyeol, who is doing splendidly in his drama, into a single word. But I’m proud of him because his singing, which I felt was slightly lacking in his debut days, has improved so much to a point where I can nod in approval. Even though I can’t remember the exact date, he said at a concert that he knows how lacking he is. I knew how hard it must have been to admit his flaw out loud, as a singer who was already on stage. I wanted to give him an ovation for that comment.

 

I don’t know if his part in ‘Be Mine’, which is one of INFINITE’s many hit songs, was good or bad for him, but many people still remember him for “Do you hear me.†This means that he still has many prejudices to overcome, but the reason why I want to keep studying his vocals is because I still see infinite potential in him. Someone then asks back, aren’t you just saying that because you are a fan? Then I answer: “It’s his effort and hard work that made me his fan. I want to support him not because I am his fan, but because he made me his fan.â€

 

His voice is something like a rough gemstone that hasn’t been polished yet, which is why you can utilize it in any way. I was surprised at how good he was at rapping in ‘Cover Girl’. Now that I’ve thought more about why Sungyeol took that part, I think that part was good because it was Sungyeol who rapped it. Hoya and Dongwoo could easily have done it since they are in charge of rap, but Sungyeol was just the right person to express that INFINITE-like vivacity in ‘Cover Girl.’

 

Same applies to the beginning part of ‘With,’ which is just so heartwrenching to listen to. Sungyeol begins leading the song with the line, “I should’ve said this first.†As I know how important the beginning part of a song is, I snapped my fingers in realization: he may not have many parts, but he is in charge of impactful parts. Same goes with ‘That Summer’ and ‘White Confession,’ as with ‘Just another lonely night.’ Because he has less parts, you listen more carefully to his voice, and you get to hear his growth. How many idols out there can emit their charms fully with few lines?

 

He may not have been good from the start, but he is definitely growing. I understand that each step taken is not always so easy. I don’t think I need to explain further on why I’m proud of Sungyeol, who knows his flaws and uses those flaws as his stepping stone to become a better vocalist in INFINITE. I recommend everyone to listen to every INFINITE song. Or his stage with Hoya, ‘SexyBack,’ is good too. Not only is it worthwhile to take note of his teamwork with Hoya, young Sungyeol’s fresh attempt to make ‘SexyBack’, which is not an easy song to lead, into his makes an impression on you as well.

lol it's always me who pops up randomly. I'm actually going around to post these articles in each member for whenever they get translated. But every now and then I visit some of the threads to see what's up. I just don't post 

 

But yeah, I'm waiting to hear what new stuff Infinite F will have in store for their next album. I hope each of them will have their own "song" and have songs composed by them in it   OT from Infinite F, but I've always wanted at least one solo studio-recorded song from each member.

Ah, same! I've thought about them each having a solo too. It would be nice  I especially want a studio version of Sungyeol since we didn't even get his first full solo performance from the concert DVD

I've been meaning to ask for ages if Sungyeol had any solo stages since I've heard about literally everyone else having one, but I kept forgetting. I guess this answers my question. But why wouldn't it be included in the DVD??? It makes no sense. Honestly, I'm starting think that rumor I heard that the CEO doesn't like Sungyeol that much is true... :|

They leave on the 28th it sounds like. So he'll be back in time for Gayos and the January tour dates. He's missing Showtime though. :(

That's so soon though! I hope he rests for the time being. Showtime T_T And I was so looking forward to it and cute myungyeol. It won't be the same

I recently realized why I don't really like this hairstyle on him. I think it makes him look kinda bobble-headed? Idk, it's just that since he's gotten skinnier that poofy perm makes his head look a bit disproportionate to his body. Plus, for some reason he always seems to look tired/run down when he's hair's like this. It's really weird because he looked perfectly good/healthy when he had his other two styles at the concerts, but then he goes back to this and it's like poof: exhausted!Yeol. Idek. Maybe this is just me.  :x

It's not just you. I realized today that it makes his head look big/weird.
