Both SM and JYP have already dropped hints about when they're gonna debut their girl groups but YG is awfully quiet... I think YG could have benefited from the recent sexy concept rush by debuting a group that's different and attract a ton of attention similar to what 2NE1 did in 2009 with a badass concept, but it doesn't appear that their debut is imminent. If he waits too long that chance will pass. JYP/SM's gg's might even debut first, which is not a good thing for YG. They'll be gunning for the same market share, he needs to be the first to debut a gg this year. - Sigh - Nothing about the girl group is in his plans Pissing me off. 1st half my ass.No AkMu in their plans either These are merely analysis by an independent entity of YG's plans and are never 100% accurate in terms of predicting activities. Darius 8,485 Posted March 10, 2014 Share Posted March 10, 2014 (edited) Realistically speaking, a debut in 1H2014 is out of the question. By the time PSY comes back, it'll be mid-to-late March. About a month after that Winner will debut in April. Then there's Daesung & Taeyang solos which are both expected in May ~ June. Then there's still AkMu who presumably will debut whenever that show they came from starts (idk when), Epik High (no expected date yet) and Big Bang in Q3 (probably August) are also in the pipeline. I see this group debuting in either July or Q4. In order for July to happen, YG's scheduling and execution has to be perfect though and I just don't see that happen so Q4 seems most likely atm. Oh I thought she was 22 going on 23. 21 KR age is not an issue I think. However, seeing as everything about this group screams "long term investment", I doubt YG is feeling comfortable with debuting another group where a member is way older than the rest. Example: G-Dragon. His artist name is cringe-worthy as fuck and simply "Jiyong" would've been much better. There's currently no popular idols called Jisoo/Jennie/Lalisa/Eunbi either, so even less reason to change it. Eunbi is turning out to be quite pretty Now where are these people that said she Would be the ugly girl of the group huh? Danm eunbi grew Up well. All the other girls seems to a bit more popular when u look at their pre-debut fanbase (ifans), because we know more about them. So he should release something about one of the 3 girls. YG shouldn't release shit unless he's 100% sure they will debut soon. Any more teasing w/o anything actually happening and he might as well just disband them right now. Even a confirmed release date and teasers doesn't stop him from delaying things anymore. are there any translation for GD thank to for his albums? Huh? They need find a hit song. And thats what they are working on. The whole industry eyes will be on them. And the backlash will be huge if their song\album is not on par with the hype. U don't want a exo debut type situation. These guys are all different from each other. When win ended them and YG probably had to find some balance so that their different style could come together nicely. The only problem is that it shows how much YG doesn't plan things in advance. Win seems to have a been a spur of the moment. Probably because of exo dominating too much and yg wanted to find some type of counter attack. Im hoping for a may debut for them. Then big bang in june july and finally the girls in august\sept. I agree & I really hope so, but i'm pretty sure BB in june/july ain't happening. Psy, Winner AkMu, Taeyang and Daesung are all coming before Big Bang and GD only just started working on BB's album, so I really doubt it. Notice how they are listed under the awards as soloists. Jennie is kind of a grey area... You could try to convince the staff that she counts as a soloist but I don't think it's going to work. I don't think Jennie counts as a soloist. Her featurings/performances are clearly tied to the promotion of a future group that is yet to debut. Take G-Dragon for example: He's been doing features, music show appearances and has been part of YG Family albums as early as 2001, way before he was tied to a group. I wouldn't be suprised if YG announces his new girl group will debut in October too -.- October is certainly possible, but i'm thinking September is more likely. Big Bang will definitely cb before them, and that's 99% certain going to be in August. A September debut will allow YG to attach them to BB's promotions. You best believe YG is not gonna let an opportunity of that magnitude go to waste. It'll be BB's first comeback in 30 months so everyone will be watching. Seeing as AkMu's debut date is set for April 7, it seems extremely unlikely it's anything music related. YG is also doing a collab project with some modeling agency for a clothing line called "Natural 9", so that's probably it. When the videos first came out and people speculated it could be the group name, I wasn't feeling it at all since I wanted something more unique and stand-out. However since then, so many rookie groups have debuted with atrocious names and it made realize that Pink Punk was never actually that bad of a name. I really hope it ends up being this group's name. I'm hoping they debut sometime soon :/ Maybe they're debuting this fall? Is it possible to have a summer debut? YG's schedule is packed all the way through summer. The earliest they could debut is after Big Bang's comeback, so in September. In the Wiki page of YG, It is written under the recording artist that the New Girl Group name is Pink Punk , there will be seven members namely Jennie , Jisoo , Kwon Dahyun , Park Chaeyoung , Lalisa , Kim Eunbi and Cho Miyeon. But nothing is sure. Check the wiki of Yg ent. I could go to that page right now and call them Chundam High Iljin Squad, or anything for that matter. We're three years in and YG is still making changes to the line-up. Euna had already left when her teaser came out iirc, and yet Jinny was probably only added at the end of last year... It's not easy to find girls like Euna that fit into the group the way YG wants. I wonder how it'll change as we start to see more of the members. How likely is it that Hanna is in this group tho? I haven't really followed it but if she is, they defo won't debut until the very end of the year at best. As of right now i'm still leaning towards September-ish, right after Big Bang's comeback.
