YG really should've released this picture instead of her hospital patient one. OTL

Lol. IKR.  Her makeup looks the same as the one from this pic

i'm starting to believe that could actually be eunbi

She seems to have a brownish-red hair right now, just like the girl in the pic.

and the new YG-Life came out after he said he'd release a new pic of the either Eunbi/Euna (whichever stayed)

tumblr_mk8y5ldk7B1rvvjlxo1_500.jpg

That girl is not Eunbi 0_o... just a fan waiting for an autograph.

wasn't there a fan account about how fans saw Jennie and Eunbi outside of the YG building together signing to fans... it was the pic u posted and another one of eunbi wearing a hat dressed in all black, however, people in H8 thread has already speculated/said that the picture was taken before YG's statement on who left, this further confusing more people on who acc left the YG GG....and overshawdowing the fact that the girl with the brown-red-ish hair could of been eunbi..

On the other note, i think u may be right... i'm going to assume y i also think that this girl could be Eunbi.. HOWEVER, my reasons are really stupid n down right fucked up..firstly, who would wear headphones outside of YG building at this time of day (she was prob listening to music/studio or practicing inside YG)... the way she's dressed looks like she just had a dance practice...also, she has no white masks ..loool...and don't Koreans normally erase or draw on citizen/fans faces if they are generally captured a photo with someone famous (in this case, famous trainee :D) which could mean that could be Eunbi as they didn't blur it out hinting an obvious REASON why that is Eunbi...

well those r my retarded reasons... :la:

There was a fanaccount but it was only Jennie and Jisoo. There hasn't been any updates about Eunbi since last year. That other pic floating around was old. I've seen it since last year. Not sure why it popped up this year though.

YG Entertainment Expands To China: New Girl Group Mystery Solved?

GB48xf26.jpg

With the announcement last month that Korean entertainment agency YG will soon expand their offices to include one in China, many see it as another way for the company to increase their international status.

YG Entertainment is home to some of the biggest and most respected acts in the biz including Psy, Big Bang, and 2NE1.They are counted as one of the “Big Three†agencies in South Korea for their large share of the market and are well known for the unique sounds each of their artists bring to the table.

China’s market has been obviously dominated by Chinese-language acts singing what is known as Mando-pop, but the recent success of Korean artists in the country has opened up new opportunities for South Korean agencies such as YG to expand and promote their acts.

Specifically the international phenomenon of “Gangnam Style†and Psy’s continued popularity the world over has made YG Entertainment a household name in many countries across the globe, China included.

In an official statement, YG said, “We plan to put more resources and invest more into the Greater China market, which we believe will be the next big market next to Japan. We are currently cooperating with our partners to create a company within the year, in either Beijing or Shanghai.â€

The company added it is too early to tell if their efforts in China will focus on promoting their existing acts or if they will develop local Chinese groups.

But this presents an interesting situation. On their current roster of active acts, YG Entertainment is the only major Korean record label without a Mandarin-speaking singer.Their rival companies, namely SM and JYP Entertainment, have several singers who are bilingual, or, as the case with boy bands EXO-M and Super Junior-M, are entirely made up of Chinese-speaking members.

YG Entertainment’s ambitious business venture in China seems a little late to the game when considering their competitor’s efforts.

That said, for the better part of the past year, YG has been teasing fans that they will soon debut a new girl group.Specifics have been kept pretty tightly under wraps and there is a tremendous amount of mystery surrounding the members and what kind of new sound they will bring to the overflowing K-Pop market.

Could a Chinese-language group be the trick up YG sleeve?

The pre-existing acts already have had a fair amount of success in China with Big Bang and its leader G-Dragon having sold out concerts across the country in a matter of minutes despite performing entirely in Korean.

While YG Entertainment has not said if they would develop new Chinese acts for certain or not, that does not necessarily mean they are not planning on debuting a group they already have been training for quite some time with the sole purpose of infiltrating the Chinese market.

Wild speculation or mystery solved? We will all just have to wait until YG Entertainment opens their China office and finally gets around to debuting their new girl group to find out.

ABOUT ‘NEW GIRL GROUP’

When will YG’s new girl group make their debut?

We are planning October for YG’s new girl group’s debut. The group has been preparing for a long time at YG – their debut is YG’s first one in 4 years since BigBang’s debut in 2006 and 2NE1’s in 2009.

The trilingual members are fluent in Korean, English and Japanese. Despite their young age, an average of 17 year old, they are arousing deep attention not only in Korea but also overseas.

How many members in the group?

The project initially started off with a plan of 10 or more members in the group, but throughout the years there has been a fierce competition among tens of tryout singers and now remain 6 members.

Unfortunately Yuna Kim, who was discovered on Superstar K, had to be excluded from the team for personal reasons. However, Eunbi Kim, a contestant from the same program, remains as one of the 6 members.

What is the promotional tactic of the new girl group?

We are adopting a debut method that is utterly different from the conventional debuting ways that was applied to other YG girl groups. From October, we will be debuting one or two members at a time to see whether they are apt for the public. When we can see that the audience likes them, then we will move on to forming a proper group.

BigBang’s all five members, on the other hand, made a debut as a group and then started working on their own work. It will help you understand better when I say that we are going the completely opposite direction with YG’s new girl group.

In a nutshell, each member makes a debut first, and then they will come together to form a group.

Right now I am in Japan with Akdong Musician and Lee Hi.

Akdong Musician once said in an interview that Lee Hi would be the most “difficult†artist to befriend. For me, both Akdong Musician and Lee Hi are still a tad “difficultâ€, since they are the latest comers to our agency. I feel that we still need some ice-breaking to do. So using Daesung’s Japan concert as an excuse, I asked them to accompany me to Japan so that I can spend some quality time with them.

On the first day of arrival, their ice has become a lot thinner, thanks to the visit to Disney Land. I joined them later that day for dinner. Frankly, because Soo-hyun, our youngest (which means Lee Hi is no longer the youngest), just turned 15 and others are also just teenagers, I was worried about the generation gap. But I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them and was impressed by their bright and positive attitudes.

I will come back with more details of their album release later!

When will Kang Seung-yoon, the ex-Superstar K contestant, be debuting?

To be continued… see you all tomorrow!

I don't really believe anything tbh. His track record with following his own plans suck.

He has changed his plans several times already so I'll believe it when it happens.

I am glad a few things have been cleared up though. How many members will be in the group, the exclusion of Euna.

She wrote, "Hello, it's Euna. I'm currently in the United States, and I'll be going to college in about a month and a half. I'm worried a little because I'm picking up studies again for the first time in a while, but I'm looking forward to the future.I want to thank everyone who supported me for a long time. I was able to smile a lot thanks to all of you. I hope everyone thinks positively of what happened.I'm going to do my best in everything I do.

What kind of sensation will YG’s new boy group bring?

201306210050775768_51c33da530223_59_2013

YG Entertainment, known for surprising people with its sensational strategy every time its artist make a debut, is arousing much attention for its upcoming new boy group revelation.

On June 20, YG’s founder Yang Hyun-suk wrote about “when the new boy group will be making their debut†on his official blog, drawing attention with his unveiled boy group plan. If a boy group does make a debut, then this will be the first one in 7 years for the entertainment agency.

With BigBang, YG used an unprecedented method of fully exposing to the watchers the process of choosing the members through a documentary style reality program. Through this, a current idol group Beast’s member Jang Hyun-seung was able to garner much popularity, but some losers of the show had to depart the show bitterly.

So taking this into consideration, we cannot rule out that YG will not adopt the same tactics for the new boy group. Or, like other YG girl groups, individual members will be revealed to the public through their solo activities. Another option is to have full producing support from the CEO of the agency for the debut, like Lee Hi.

More details have been unveiled about YG’s new girl group than the boy group’s – each member of the girl group will be making a debut separately starting October, and they will come together to form a group next year to release their debut album. The currently revealed members are the ex-contestants of Superstar K, whose names are Kim Eun-bi, Kim Jenny and Kim Ji-soo.

Lee Hi, who made a debut last November, was spotlighted by foreign media for YG’s unique method of promotion. Lee Hi gained a full and complete support from the CEO since her debut. Yang invested 2 to 3 times more in Lee Hi’s music video of “1,2,3,4†than other YG artists’ videos. 2NE1 took 5 years to release 1 regular album, while it only took Lee Hi a year to produce the same number of album. Lee Hi stepped into the music world enthusiastically with YG’s support.

Many in the music industry and also the fans are paying close attention to YG’s ambitious plan of debuting the new boy group because the entertainment agency is leading the pop music market. But at this moment people are only told of whether there will be a new group or not. On June 21, YG will unveil more details related to this on the official blog.

idk seems quite messy to me but LOL how he's giving another set date - october..

not sure if oct 2013 or 2014 and then form a group in '15.

and is the boy group WIN program airing July?

Yea, 2nd week of July.

This schedule is honestly too ambitious for YG. Even if someone else is is in control of every group, he ultimately has the last say. So everyone could be delayed til mid2014 if he continues not delivering what he promises.

And also him saying he promoting the girls like no other group. Woollim started doing this way before him.

Don't remember him saying that.

He did, last year interview...

He probably realised it wasn't so new this year... if you look at the last news, he said "different type of promotions for YG girls groups". Happens when he media plays so much about nothing concrete.

IMO he used the same type of promotions with 2NE1. Bom and CL featuring for others, Dara acting in Iljimae...

It is a new type of promotions for YG though...

He didn't use the same type of promos for 2NE1. Bom and CL just did features. I'm not sure if the girls will be doing that or actually getting tracks.

I hope the boy band who win don't take too much attention away from the girl group, tbh I don't think he should have them both debuting the same year. He's been going about the girls for soo long, then bam the boys are coming, bit unfair.

They won't debut this year. Just do solos.

2NE1 first to kick off the start line of making a comeback… followed by scores of YG artists

YG-2NE1-%EC%8B%9C%EC%9E%91%EC%9C%BC%EB%A

For the first half of the year, YG has held back on making its artists come back with new songs in Korea, with the exception of PSY and LEE HI. The entertainment agency, however, will kick off a comeback boom starting from 2NE1 on July 8.

YG confirmed that 2NE1’s official comeback date is July 8. On the big day, the girl group will be unveiling their reggae song, ‘FALLING IN LOVE.’

In the first half of this year, girl groups like GIRLS’ GENERATION, SISTAR, and 4 MINUTE dominated the music market. Now all eyes are on 2NE1 to see whether the group will wrap up this female group boom on a powerful note as the last joiner.

But the new song is not the end. 2NE1’s plan is to release one song a month until October. Since it is their first comeback in a long time, they are keen to show what they’ve got to the fans for an expanded period.

And before the 2NE1 boom fades away, KANG SEUNG YOON will be making a debut on July15. He will be unveiling his solo song ‘WILND AND YONG.’ It is said that the song is a fruit reaped by YG’s main producer TEDDY, which embraces KANG SEUNG YOON’s husky but powerful voice along rock. The newly debuting artist is not scheduled to perform on TV, but many are curious to see whether he can produce another big hit in 3 years following his ‘INSTINCTIVELY’.

KANG SEUNG YOON may also have a career as a boy group member, only if he wins the Survival Program. The program, called WIN, which will be aired for the first time this month, is a battle between groups A and B. The winning team will be named WINNER, and the group will be able to make a debut in the second half of this year. The average age of group A is 20 with 5 members, including the ex-contestants of Superstar K and K-Pop Star, KANG SEUNG YOON and LEE SEUNG HOON respectively. On the other hand, group B is consisted of 6 members with an average age of 17. The leader of this group is B.I., a rapper who featured in MC MONG’s ‘INDIAN BOY’ in 2009.

In August, G-DRAGON is expected to sweep across music charts with his new song. The song from his 2nd regular album, which will be released on his 25th birthday, August 18, features the world-renowned rapper MISSY ELLIOT.

Just like G-DRAGON’s other album, he will be fully in charge with writing and composing all the songs, including album production. The tinge of a voice sample from a Korean traditional folk song “Nilliliya†makes it a one-of-a-kind, classy hip-hop track featuring the American hip-hop legend. He started filming the music video and began jacket shooting at the beginning of the month.

YG-2NE1-%EC%8B%9C%EC%9E%91%EC%9C%BC%EB%A

And following G-DRAGON is TAEYANG. In September, he is making a comeback with his 2nd solo regular album. This is the first time in 3 years since his solo song ‘I NEED A GIRL’ in 2010. TAEYANG is known for creating big hits with his songs like ‘LOOK AT ME,’ ‘WHERE U AT’, ‘WEDDING DRESS’ and ‘I NEED A GIRL.’ So it is no surprise that the music fans have high expectations for him.

And in October, the much-anticipated new girl group of YG will be unveiled. Each member of the group will be debuting as a solo. Consisting of 6 members whose average age is 17, the group will be debuting as a solo, and then will come together to form a group.

The founder of YG Entertainment, YANG HYUN-SUK, said, “The project initially started off with a plan of 10 or more members in the group, but throughout the years there has been a fierce competition among tens of tryout singers and now remain 6 members. Unfortunately Yuna Kim, who was discovered on Superstar K, had to be excluded from the team for personal reasons. However, Eunbi Kim, a contestant from the same program, remains as one of the 6 members.â€

KIM JISOO and JENNIE KIM are few of the revealed members of the group. Last year YG revealed photographs of the two – KIM JISOO, who has a mysterious aura with a beautiful look, and JENNIE KIM, who looked like a pretty doll with stunning rapping skills. The fans are already looking forward to seeing the new group. Music lovers are especially excited to see JENNIE KIM, as she appeared as the main character in G-DRAGON’s music video. Another member, who is half Korean, is said to be an amazing dancer.

AKDONG MUSICIAN, who recently joined YG, will be releasing their first album before the year ends. On the other hand, the latest newcomer, BANG YEDAM, will be taking more time in training before making a debut.

Starting from 2NE1, YG artists will be seen more frequently on TV from now on. YG is steering away from its policy that only allows their artists to appear on TV once a week. The policy was first implemented to look after the artists’ health.

YANG further explained, “The policy helped our artists carry out activities both home and abroad, which led to the increase in the number of international fans and the scale of our overseas market. On the other hand, we feel regretful that our Korean fans have a lot less opportunity to see the artists now. We are sorry that our Korean fans did not have many chances to see BIGBANG and 2NE1 who were on a World Tour for a long time.â€

when did he conform that ?? :donthinkso:

In the article. Her nationality was never revealed but ppl believed she was full Thai. But there were articles talking about Lalice being mixed since the beginning.

It's just obvious he is talking about Lalice (he mentioned her dancing) since Kim Eunbi, Kim Jisoo, and Kim Jennie were already mentioned.

maybe it's someone else.........

6 members... 2 not exposed

Why would it be a different member when Lalice has already been revealed unlike the other 2 members? The article only mentioned those revealed to the public.

So he basically confirmed Lalice Jennie Jisoo and Eunbi? Now we need the other two members or so..

I thought Lalice was full thai? but if she's half, I think her dad is half then

I will be so disappointed if they delay this comeback

Oh. That's possible too.
